Added a new client command line option which sends us additional debug information (API markers, NVIDIA Nsight Aftermath, and DRED) from DirectX 12 client crashes. If you're experiencing a large number of crashes and using DirectX 12, then temporarily enabling this will assist us in identifying the cause. This can be enabled by adding "--ex-crash-report" to your Path of Exile 2 command line arguments/launch options.


Does this debugging information work for the freezes that require restarts? Like does it submit what info it has on next login? Or is it useless for those issues?

Also for the freezes, not sure if this may help, but I tested a bunch of situations, and I found two that I have been unable to cause the freeze on:

1) The already widely known "turn off engine multithreading before any loading screen" solution.

2) Windowed mode (non-maximized). For whatever reason I have not had a freeze in non-maximized windowed mode yet. This is my main play mode now.

I HAVE had the freeze issue on maximized windowed mode, borderless windowed mode, and fullscreen on both Vulkan and DX12. The maximized windowed mode freeze actually happened on the cogs before login. I maximized the screen while it was loading and everything froze except the mouse (even Windows taskbar was unresponsive). Not sure if this helps reproduce, I know its been reported on multiple kinds of hardware/OS.

EDIT: Also I looked at the client logs, and almost every single crash looks like this:

Sometimes there's a couple extra lines after finalize static entities like a chat message or a driver version message, but it seems to always happen after that line.

Where is PoE 3.26?
No skill or class rebalancing??? Please nerf all lightning skills, Monk, Merc, stats-stacking builds, Poison Concoction, and more. The game is unbalanced now. Tons of players are using Tempest Flurry and Gemling Attribute Stacker. Also, please nerf drop rates and rarity.
Still waiting for something for the AMD processors, plz <3
Do any of these patches actually do anything? Nobody I know that crashes has ever stopped crashing from these. Meanwhile the game itself has all kinds of major flaws that need addressing.

I would like to know this too!

In the livestream they said it'd be around a 5% overhead.

Not too big but not something to run consistently.



I believe it's more Win11 24H2 causing the crashes; roll back, or roll back NVIDIA drivers to see if that works, or use Windows 10.

Source: My friend on W11 24H2 and latest drivers was having crashing issues. I'm on Win10 and older drivers and have not had a single technical issue with the game (besides the weapon swap tooltip client crash regression which still isn't fixed). Same GPU.
