What is going on with Divine Orbs?

You need divs to do the mirror dupe.
How do you know about the RMT value of Divine Orbs? I think you should get ban.
I don't follow the logic of high end currency getting duped leading to inflation of exalts. It would be the opposite. And if people are duping exalts, why would people dupe exalts instead of divines/mirriors?

The simple answer maybe more players(including bots)who have settled into the endgame are farming very efficiently after playing for a month.

You realize you can just look up that information, it doesn't mean he used RMT...

It's basic inflation. You may be aware that [Removed by Support] started the mass printing of their paper currency to try and deal with their economic issues but this just led to the currency being worth nothing. People had A LOT more of the physical currency, there where stories of people paying for a loaf of bread with a wheelbarrow full of bills, but each individual bill is worth A LOT less.

The same principle applies here. The value of a Mirror is directly tied to the value of Exalts as you can use the currency exchange to trade Exalts for Divines and Divines for Mirrors. Think of a Mirror as a $100 bill, a Divine as a $10 bill and an Exalt as a $1 bill. If you start mass printing $100 bills and distributing them into the economy, you don't devalue just the $100 bill, you devalue everything.

Although a Mirror is worth a lot, there are not actually many items that actually trade for Mirrors. So what do you do with all those Mirrors you duped? If you are trying to sell them as a RMT you may sell some but as most top tier items trade for Divines and not Mirrors, most people will want Divines. If you are not selling them for RMT, the same applies, you cant actually trade a Mirror for much except for turning them into Divines. So you start trading in Mirrors for Divines. Then you start using those Divines to trade for items. Some people keep those Divines but some people will want to break them down even further as there may be items they want to get that go for exalts. As more and more items get traded for currency, they become less available, so people start posting similar items for higher buyout prices. As it now takes more Exalts to get even entry level end game gear, the value of individual Exalts start plummeting and Divines start trading at the currency exchange for more and more exalts.

There is a significant amount of RMT and botting going on with the trade site. People constantly sniping items with botting as well. Right now for example there's one account (that is always logged on) with over 10,000+ divines of the best Quarterstaves and Dualstring Bows in the entire softcore league. It's clear they're either engaged in some form of botting or exploiting the crafting system to set up a singular monoopoly on these weapons which negatively affects all Monks and Rangers. I'm sure they're also selling off these massive profits as they would have already had 5-6x the amount of currency to fully maximize multiple characters by now. I really hope obvious cheaters like this are removed before the next early access league or else the economy reset would be completely pointless.

maybe mirror service? ....

i know it by getting hourly price updates from rmt bot whispers ingame
I do not think it is the RMT specifically this time. Since the big patch I have noticed a huge increase in drops of low currency. I mean i was doing 3 to 5 exalts in a packed 81 breach map average before patch to nearly 20-30 after.
But since the exalt drop rate has calmed down since. I am guessing it is the hidden loot throttle diablo and Poe have always had but never admitted to.

So knowing about the value of something should be bannable now? Wild. You have a very interesting personality.

Thanks for continuos answers, I'm still not sure why RMT prices would be lower than the last time I checked as the ingame value clearly doubled by now which in return should mean there is a stronger demand for them - which would lead to higher RM prices. Basis of my assumption though is that they adapt to ingame currency inflation/deflation - as that was usually the case with other onlinegames that had a currency/tradesystem in place.

Maybe I am also just very stupid and this is basic 101 economy.

And yes there is an increase of exalt drops thats for sure - for me its just the correlation between ingame and real world prices not acting the same way. As RMT botters are in it for hard cash profit so why not adapt and increase margin.

So to me it really feels like some whale price fixing going on in the exchange.

I should put down my tinfoil hat now.

so far what ı see about it, GGG doesnt care about it. even they dont make in game auction house or direct selling without whispers etc.... with stupid reasons...

maybe one day, with poe 2 effect (who couldnt involed to poe1 like me and enjoys 2), these poeople like us, who is use to good systems like in game auction house, maybe with all of us demand, things may change... dunno
