What is going on with Divine Orbs?
I've no idea how the exchange works, but whats going on here? Price increase by 70ex in 2ish days to nearly 200 ex. All while RMT sites offer divines way cheaper than before?
Am I trippin or is something not adding up? Please enlighten me. Last bumped on Jan 24, 2025, 8:08:42 AM

Inflation all of the sudden.
I've dumped all my EXs into divs now just to offset the loss. I would maybe do the same. |

The only theory that makes sense to me is that more people are entering the end game so more exalts are getting pumped into the market. Also endgame gear is traded in Divines so people have to have them to get their final build.

A few days ago a duping method was discovered, many believe that this has led to rampant inflation along with market manipulation. Whether or not that is the case, I cannot say for sure.

" I don't think this is the case, exalts last week where holding steady at 120 exalts for the entire week and I doubt that the rate of people entering the endgame suddenly increased this week to such a point that divine orb values increased by 80 exalts in just a few days. This also doesn't explain the decrease in value of Divine Orbs on RMT sites. I can't say for sure but I personally believe the issue is related to the duping method discovered a few days ago. Especially as it lines up perfectly with the sudden inflation we are seeing. |

My mate chanced an Astramentis on his first use of an Orb of Chance, FIRST GO!
He sold it instantly for 210 divines, gave me 10 for showing him how to make one. He was still getting whispers for 250+ Divines afterwards. We then spent the next 3 hours trying to repeat the craft and couldn't. I spent so much on Chance Orbs and nada. I did have a theory that a "new" account will always chance with a really high success rate on the very first attempt, but who knows? Last edited by GeoffC#1733 on Jan 23, 2025, 12:11:30 PM

" I also think that the mirror duping, and the information about it emerging, lead to the sudden hyperinflation we are witnessing since a few days. I think information about the mirror dupes first came around on friday last week (maybe even a day before), after the patch (Mb the patch even caused it? idk). The amount of information and evidence about the dupe increased over the weekend. This is around the timeframe we saw the inflation starting, also the prices of mirrors dropped rapidly in that timeframe (Tho it has gone up again since). This might just be correlation. But to me it seems like it might very well be causality. Also, as far as I know they still haven't fixed the exploit bug? At least there was no mention of it anywhere. And I really don't understand why such a economy-breaking bug is not fixed by now. Only logical explanation for me would be that they simply don't know about the problem. Or that its very very hard to fix, but I can't imagine it taking such a long time tbh. Last edited by creeten#4303 on Jan 23, 2025, 12:13:35 PM

Thanks for the replies, that shed some light into the dark for me. Still somewhat concerning.

There is a significant amount of RMT and botting going on with the trade site. People constantly sniping items with botting as well. Right now for example there's one account (that is always logged on) with over 10,000+ divines of the best Quarterstaves and Dualstring Bows in the entire softcore league. It's clear they're either engaged in some form of botting or exploiting the crafting system to set up a singular monoopoly on these weapons which negatively affects all Monks and Rangers. I'm sure they're also selling off these massive profits as they would have already had 5-6x the amount of currency to fully maximize multiple characters by now. I really hope obvious cheaters like this are removed before the next early access league or else the economy reset would be completely pointless.
