POE 2 Endgame Frustrations: 24 Delirious Maps Tested

As a casual player, I decided to test Path of Exile 2’s endgame by running 24 delirious T15 maps with 92% increased rarity. After spending over 6.5 hours and more than 400 exalts in currency to roll these maps, I was left feeling disappointed and frustrated.

While map sustain was improved, the drops were abysmal:

Only two divine orbs and 95 exalted orbs after 24 maps.
Just one Greater Jeweler’s Orb and zero Perfect Jeweler’s Orbs.
I also lost 51 exalts due to game crashes. Logging back in, the portals and map mods from precursors were gone. I could understand this if I had died—but I didn’t. You can even see in the video that I lost no experience.

How are we supposed to have enough currency to gamble—oops, I mean "craft"—when I wouldn’t even be able to afford rolling a new set of maps?!

For such a massive investment (weeks of gathering currency), I ended up losing currency instead of gaining it, which feels broken and punishing for casual players. Six and a half hours of my life, wasted. I’m getting really close to calling it quits.

I’m not "popular" like the big streamers, so if you’ve had a similar experience, this would be the place to share it. I really hope GGG does something soon.

Any time I've crashed in maps I can just take another portal back in; not sure why that wouldn't work for you.

In general spending much currency on general maps is a waste of resources. 200-300% waystone drop on a boss node is sufficient to get at least two T15 waystones from the boss. Use tablets for normal item drop rarity/quantity, with atlas points allocated to increasing tablet effectiveness. Yes, it's dumb and bad that your passive points have to go to making the game playable instead of tailoring content and reward type.

Also, if you're not running one of the broken builds you probably can't win simulacrum anyway, so sell the splinters via the currency trade to get some more exalted orbs.

Yeah...this was weird.... the game just shut (like if you hit alt+F4) and when i logged back in...the portals were gone.

I do normally just run T15-T17 corrupted maps...thats how I farmed the currency I began with...but I watched a video from one of the streamers showing how they got "rich" off of doing delirius maps...so I followed all their instruction and was thinking I could do the same...but now I think they just lie for views, or maybe they get paid to make the game look great since they have of thousands of followers.

I only had map sustain issues on my first couple of characters. I ended up having to make a spark sorc to get past that hurdle and have not had map issues since. I just had issues getting any crafts that I could actually use, and quit crafting and use the sorc to farm currency so i can buy items on trade for other build ideas.

I ran my first simulacrum tonight actually on my Righteous Fart build (From Kripparian) and while I didn't die, it was not very rewarding at all.
If the server crashes (the game "freezes" and you see network latency spiking endlessly when hitting f1) then you lose everything.

Map node is treated as though you died (IE it's not rolled back to let you try again it's a dead node), and you inventory resets to when it was before your last portal in.

I watched ur video:
Mistake 1 - 92% MF, simply 0 breakpoints reached, stat waste obv
Mistake 2 - u ran BS-maps with 0 rarity and quantity
Mistake 3 - u had like 27% quantity on maps, which tells us, alpha-gods of farming, that u don't setup anything before running "farm-plato"
Mistake 4 - u don't meet the requirements of atlas for making stable profits from this exact strat: it been showed by 1 sim splinter drop

And u didn't show ur atlas-build, I believe there are some bs too.

So, the question is: loot is bad or u just don't learn enough how to do it properly?
PoE is in love, while u learning it, This Perfect Made Game-Women rewards u with divine-kisses, while u go deep into Her mechs, digging in understanding of which mechanic amplyfing or empowering each other.

Uhhhhh.... Are you part of a cult?

In all seriousness though, why the fuck do people need to learn breakpoints and optimize loot bonuses like a damn second character build in order for the game to have functioning loot progression? At that point just stop playing the video game and become a day trader.

By this logic all the worlds largest companies are cults

U learn hard, u invest million dollar to make billion dollar. Is this new for you?

And u hit the mark accidentaly: I work in worldwide sales and trading, so poe is just a perfect polygon for me

I was addressing your vocabulary choice when I said you sounded like you were in a cult. Nice b8.

As a casual player, I decided to test Path of Exile 2’s endgame by running 24 delirious T15 maps with 92% increased rarity.

From the maps you've shown in your video I can see that the map rarity is 62%, 0%, 0%, 94%, 0%, 19%, 0%, 22% and 27%. That's 25% on average, where do you get the 92% from?

Don't take this the wrong way, but someone who can waste 400 exalts on juicing maps and has 40/40 achievements in the current PoE league isn't a "casual" player.

I just ran 34 T1 - T3 maps including 6 or 7 towers with my 3rd char coming from acts, most of them blue and only a few of them with extra content like breach. I got about 60 - 70 exalts worth of currency alone plus around 160 waystones T1 - T5 out of it. I didn't even throw a regal on waystones, just some trans/aug if necessary. Otherwise I just used the best ones I found.

So, all in all I can't complain except that my luck for divine drops is really bad. I only found one in about 300 hours of playtime among three chars and that was early in act 2 normal with the first char.
