One Death Maps is a monumental failure.
I just regequited PoE2 after over 200h of playing. I want to relax after work doing like 10 maps/day with any not crazy but solid rewards (at least from time to time some lucky drop should happen to keep your hope). I was 1-shot in 3 maps in a row today - fighting as mercenary with 80 ele res, 3000 hp, 77 evade + 30% armour.
In addition in previously finished maps i got just few exalts. I got frustrated and bored with such a difficult and unrewarding gamestyle. PS Just little more rage crying. Other thing is the character balance at low budget - I know its EA but even in PoE1 characters each leagues was unbalanced -so I dont believe there will be even after years. I played as a Marcenary Legionaire trying all grenades + explosive shot and recently moved to Galvanic Shards. Especially Granades are completely bad and slow. My total budget was about 15 div (i know its not much, but playing 10 maps a day getting this amount is eternity - fortunately found 1 Audience in Ritual and sold). Summarizing Now its is game for playing Meta only builds and not for casual players wanted to play like they want. |

It's the one thing that I really f'ing hate and could possibly lead to me just quitting at some point.
I'm ok with the 10% exp loss. I'm used to it from PoE 1. But then you also: - Take away the rest of the map, losing that waystone, as if waystones are super common. - Take away all the bosses, mechanics, etc on that node making it so pointless I might as well just run it with a Tier 1 map to get to the next asap. - Take away all the loot that was on the ground that I didn't get a chance to pick up. - Force my friend to either finish the map alone while I sit their with my thumb up my ass waiting, or to just leave the boss/events/etc as well ... great way to make your game enjoyable, forcing me to sit on the sidelines. It's a horrible mechanic. Just ADMIT IT and change it. Stop trying to shove Hardcore mechanics into softcore. |

One death per map isn't a hardcore mechanic

" If they don't want someone running a breach 6 times, then as soon as any breach is activated in the map, wipe just that. If you activate a ritual... wipe that. If you kill the boss, wipe that. |

I don't mind 10% exp loss. But one death map penalty is fun killer for me. |

The game is called Path of Exile, and its three core story themes are struggle, injustice, and perseverance. With that being said, why should we, as players, expect everything to be fair?
Also, seeing that you leveled up so many characters you should already know after lvl 90,91,92 there’s nothing of significance left on that passive tree that would warrant someone focusing on XP loss over efficient currency farming bc all your remaining progression is going to come through min/maxing your gear.
