🏚️ 💰 WE NEED AUCTION HOUSE NOT TRADES!!!
I would take Jonathan at his word in that video when he says: “people will no longer accept an ActionRPG that doesn’t have instant-buyouts for a Trade System. So, therefore we’ll need to change, we need to move with the times. And as I’ve said before, I don’t want to have any excuses - if players are not enjoying something, we need to find a way to solve that problem- so we will solve that problem. We will find a way.”
Everyone, including Jonathan, knows that PoE2 can’t be a part of the future of ARPGs without an instant-buyout feature … the game won’t launch without it. |

It has been stated over and over again that they wont do an acutionhouse because it fucks the economy. It makes the expensive items EXTREMLY expensive and the semi-decent items cost nothing.
This way you can find a tripple reists ring with only health/energy shield as its 4th stat and you can actually sell it for some currency. There is a reason we only have currency exchange. Its been stated over and over and in every game an auction-house has been implemented this has been the result. You also remove alot of the people who are only in the game to speculate/make money from trading only when u dont have AHs ingame since they actually have to be online and do the trades themselves. Im 100% confident that no AH is the best move even if its clunky. Since every game I have played with an AH always have totally fucked up economies. |

" You do know there are trade bots in PoE2 already, right? |
|
don't know why people loves AH so much.
- people / bot auto sniping, good luck getting stuff you want especially the more desirable stuff - bulk buy and relist to control market from my 20k hours of MMO back in the days, although I never really think much about it back then -- yes, as a casual player (I played a lot doesn't means I'm hardcore or pro at the game...), you will NEVER able to afford any of the good stuff due to extreme pricing controlled by the wealthy top players. Of course the same problem exits in POE, just at much slower pace thanks to the friction of the barter system. It gives the average player a chance to afford stuff. The current system is fine enough. Currency exchange is already good enough. |

" How to tell you’ve never played a mmo without telling you’ve not played mmo. |

" Please tell me the difference to what it is now, because right now we have very much the same issues without an auction house. Prices are out of whack and you can clearly see market manipulation on both currency exchange and the market. What Jonathan was talking about 11 months ago was thinking about a direct buyout option with a gold fee and not an auction house. An auction house would host auctions as the name implies. What we need is simply a direct buyout option. Premium stash tabs would remain, i suppose, which means you still use the same interface to sell - only the interface and more importantly process to buy it is different/streamlined. |

" No, it doesn't work. Spam whispering and being ignored or losing items or seeing the buyer go offline or wasting 30 minutes or two hours doesn't mean "it works". There are two solutions: Auction House or true and complete crafting. |
|
Have you ever considered GGG is using trade as some kind of traffic generation?
I honestly don't understand why we ain't getting google ads while searching for items. They would generate revenue compared to actual early access numbers copies sold |

" Well, PoE is not MMO so... |
|
" +1. Well said |
