Grinding gears has nteresting support strategy
Friend bought one of the big supporter packs, and gave me a key to try out POE 2. Never played POE 1, but thought it could fill my D2 itch. Tried it, liked it, and bought $60 supporter pack with 600 coins. Did basic research on tabs, but didn't fully understand what tabs were needed. I looked at what was taking up space in my inventory after grabbing trading tabs.
After ordering some initial tabs, I ordered some map tabs for all my waystones. I noticed there was no maps tab, and mistakenly ordered it again while adding another tab because I didn't see a maps tab, but had all the other tabs lol. After researching, I found out the maps tabs was for POE 1! Seems shady to even offer them to players on POE 2.... So I emailed them, and there was no response. Emailed again, and said it was scammy of grindinggears to offer up maps tab to poe 2 players, when it's not for poe 2. Some may love grindinggears, but I just dropped $60, and my 1st experience using their store was negative. Stores not in beta is it? Do you players/gg customers get played like this? That was a week ago. Someone in support read my emails asking for help, and either did what the company said to do, or didn't do their job. Friend said to message here, and I did that a couple days ago. Still no response, which is fine I guess, but they could put the coins back. Now I'm thinking it's some kind of company policy to make it difficult to get coins refunded lol. Costs them nothing but a few clicks to refund coins for something Ive never used, but maybe that hurts their bottom line? Im assuming the they might have a couple of people reading emails, but the chances that all 3 messages went to the same person... What's up with grindinggears support? This isn't the 1st week. Feels like they think it's worth gambling on me eating the losses, and that I won't dispute the charges. Some people wouldn't. I wonder why support is thinking Im one of them. TL: Bought maps tab for POE 2 that are apparently only for POE 1. Messaged a week ago to get coins refunded at 3 different times, and grindinggearsupport laughs. i've been here a while. They aren't all out scammers, but they have shady practices from time to time. that said they are also very disorganized but overall they mean well. give them some time, unless you are upset enough to shuffle around your items to a fresh account and do a refund through your payment method. i think they should be prioritizing issues like yours on top, but hey i don't work for them

How exactly did you buy a "Map stash tab" for POE2 when it isn't even available in the store in POE2 and why did you buy it when maps dont even exist in POE2.

Bummer dude.

" Well, when I bought it a week ago, it was there along with POE 2 premium tabs, essence, uniques, mats, etc. I thought maps were for the waystones. Now, if they removed it, then they know that it shouldn't had been there. Whatever the situation, a refund of coins isn't too much to ask, right? " I understand when companies have issues. It's strange that a F2P with micros doesn't have auto replies to acknowledge messages. Maybe "refund" got flagged lol. Xsolla, their payment company, does have auto reply, and even sent a case #. I got some ok gear, and a couple toons that can do t15. So I've had some fun grinding, but I won't be bothered to move gear because they can't be bothered to make things right from the start. GGG should maybe think on their existing policies. When my guild started playing poe2, there were around a dozen of us. Some got bored with POE 2. Some didn't like the nerfs, or balancing. Now, we have 3-4 that play daily, but some will probably come back if encouraged. Like many, gaming is also a social thing for us. Every time one of us leaves, it makes it more likely that others will follow. Maybe instead of just looking at it as possibly losing $60, and possible future micro transactions from one person, they should look at it as having an effect on multiple people. If I can't get a reply because of company policy, then GGG is shady AF. If it's one CS deciding to ignore customers simple requests, then maybe GGG should think about being more selective with their customer support employees. |

" then you will start from scratch, because you will be back. trust me on that one |

You mean no support lol

" Maybe that's why GGG doesn't do better. They think that they have enough fans locked in that can literally steal coins lol. They had a tab specifically for POE 1 in the store where I was shopping for POE 2 tabs. Apparently, they removed it. Maybe they should also offer to refund folks who accidentally bought it for their POE 2 accounts. You ever mistakenly bought something here, and not been refunded? That's not ok, friend. There are so many games, and dozens of d2 clones. You may feel this is the best, and I had some fun, but there are lots of options. I think I got most of it thanks to some POE 1 friends. Juiced maps, t16+, buy/sell gears to do faster clears... rinse/repeat. It was pretty well done, but they didn't reinvent anything that hasn't been done before... D1/2/3/4, DS1/2/3, GD, TQ, TL1/2, Fates, GW1/2, etc, etc. Thank you for your comment btw. |

" never had to deal with refunds but i've heard they are very flexible with it. and yes there are options, just like there are many other drugs than crack. poe can be like crack, so don't thank me just yet- ss hf! |

" As shitty as it is to not have anything more to say...as far as I'm aware, this isn't anything about policy, it's just how far behind they are on things. I mean, you also have threads like this one flying about. It is also my understanding that they've been pretty good with support in the past, but they messed up in not being prepared enough support-wise for the launch. Which is a problem that naturally snowballs, as people expecting quick support send more messages in. |
