The next patch NEEDS to have significant Warrior, Mace Skill, AND Armor buffs.
First time on POE? They have a 0% chance to change armor its basically POE1 setup so toss that idea out the window. Skills will change over time im sure but I doubt you will get some magic bullet to fix it with the game not even half way done.

" Then players need let it be overtly known that it needs to be fixed, or purchases/playtime ends, and bad reviews go up. Simple as. They have a year to fix it, so they better get on it now. |

" Would you rather no one says anything at all and the game stays exactly how it is right now and never changes? Its the best ARPG by a light year so it must be in an absolutely perfect state then if thats the case. This is EXACTLY what EA is for, I for one agree with the OP. And I also understand that high end warrior specs are apparently one shotting pinnacle bosses with Hammer of the gods, so its a HUGE problem they have to address. Right now a majority of players who want to use the warrior are in struggle city because the endgame is terribly tuned towards slow melee characters. Its a perfectly valid thing to provide feedback on, comments like yours arent needed. If you think the game is the best out there then go play it and get off forum discussions regarding feedback and concerns other players have about its current state. |

Not really. Armour isn't as bad as people think it is. Run scavenged plating and make sure you stack life regen and it's really good. Relying purely on armour is a mistake though and you should run it with shield, or play armour/evasion for 2h builds, and always take max ele resists.
The main problem mace has is that you can only play hammer of the gods, sunder, and perfect strike, because combo gameplay is way too powerful. You can't play most classes or skills without using some kind of trick to get double damage. Playing quarterstaff without bell is a joke and it's not how things should be. Warrior is mostly just bad because other classes are ridiculous. |

" TRUE! |

Anyone defending mace skills/warrior passive tree right now based off its "fine" in the absolute end game with near perfect gear is out of touch with reality.
Take the passive tree out of it. Mace skills on their own are some of the worst feeling clunky messes ever made in an ARPG imo. |

" My warrior is using Volcanic Fissure, running scavenged plating isn't an option for me. Not to mention, Scavenged Plating is LAUGHABLY bad compared to the ES and Eva 30 res gems that it's comparable to. I have a 1d shield with 1200 armour and use increased defenses from shield to have any armour, because it doubles as offense scaling thanks to the tree, and because my chest slot is cloak of flame. Taking phys as fire is far, far better as a defensive layer than trying to actually get more armour. |

Actually they do need to fix armor, and the reason is in POE, you had many other defensive layers for your melee type character, let's say Juggernaut. Regen, armor, tons of life nodes, pretty easy to dip into evasion.
Contrast this with POE2, and you have worse items in general (relative to armor/ resistances), few life nodes, seemingly worth weak Regen. Basically everyone is doing energy shield right now because armor sucks, evasion alone isn't enough, and energy shield is basically a better substitute for life. Basically it should be easier to get 90% damage reduction. I'm aware there will always be a sliding scale bias of weakness to major hits, but it needs to move to make armor better. Melee in general is pretty lethargic and slow compared to how fluid ranged classes feel. And the solution really is to lower timing delays, lower mana costs, and basically consider leap slam and rolling slam dodge rolls basically when they are in the air. If I can dodge all day long with the space bar it makes no sense why I get stun locked or damaged waiting to leap, waiting to do something, waiting to sunder. I really dislike what they did to sunder. It was a great skill in POE but the pirouette they make you do in poe2 just caused you to take damage instead of giving it. |

" Then you play block or armour/eva. |
