The next patch NEEDS to have significant Warrior, Mace Skill, AND Armor buffs.
Bottom left of the tree is literal garbage (i.e., nodes make your skills slower, forced into stacking life) surrounded by unfinished filler, Armor does relatively nothing to help against hits compared to ES AND makes movement speed slower, Mace skills are require too much windup, leaving the player in a vulnerable state when compared to other ranged/magic skills... For example, running stampede and charging towards white mobs that freeze you (interrupting your skill) and then burn your health near instantaneously with no counter play feels bad.
Overall, skill and weapon damage is too low for warriors, melee needs significant help with survivability through buffs to armor and maximum life through strength nodes, and the mace skills need to come out faster and have significant DR/immunities during the "wind-up" portion of the skill. The next patch doesn’t “need” anything. This isn’t a complete product, just early access testing. The developers will get around to things when they are ready to.

Wont happen
PoE 2 put way too much power on gear and warrior actually plays and feels alright when you have it. Life was taken away on the tree and more was moved on gear so players with 150+ rolls on every slot and that have 600+ str plus insane amounts of maximum res actaully do pretty well. When you have 5k+ hp and good regen and 15k+ base armor, a good shield and giants blood warrior functions fine. Melee skill levels everywhere on gear etc... If they buff warrior those top end builds are going to be way too strong. Idk how they are going to fix lowend warrior without gigabuffing the ones that have gear and can actually play in melee range. Ideally there would be more power on the tree accesible to everyone, and on things like determination from poe1, instead its all just on gear in this game so the divide is 2x worse than it ever was. " It's a product nonetheless, and OP is a paying customer who is voicing his standards with the product he purchased. Not only is it irrelevant the product is "unfinished" (a hilarious statement from a game that is Live Service in every single metric that counts), but is actually all the more reason it DOES need to be addressed. The entire point of this is for the devs to hear feedback and fix their game, right? Well I think 1 of the 3 major forms of defense is a pretty huge damn deal and needs to be addressed as well. GGG aren't your friend, they're merchants selling you products. The sooner people understand and accept this fact, the sooner people will be deservingly held accountable for their roles in the consumer/seller dichotomy around this product. |

Early access is a moronic excuse. Why is it the warrior that has gotten the short end of the stick? If Warriors don't complain now, nothing will ever get done. Warrior is weak compared to other classes and frankly not very fun to play. It is not fun bumping into things. It is not fun taking seconds to get off a skill. Why is it that other class trees have all positives but the Warrior has lower speed with basically all the +damage passives? Why is it that armor does close to nothing as far as protection? I mean you have monks running around with huge evade and ES+life that more than doubles Warrior life and that's while freezing everything.
Stop with the bullshit "still early and unfinished" excuses. Sick of always getting the short end of the stick in POE as pure melee. At least POE1 is a great game, so it's bearable.
