NEW POE2 equipment type (Figurine) that allows customization of your loot experience

New equip type that is similar to a ring or amulet. It’s a figurine. You would get one during a side quest near the end of act 1. you will get a choice out of several so there would be something to suit various dif builds and play styles. You will in Act 2 start to find them as random loot drops.

Example of a figurine:

Monk’s Figurine of Winter-
15-30% increased chance of finding int/dex based weapons and equipment.
10-20% increased chance of finding Quarterstaffs.
10-20% increased chance that dex/int based equipment you find will favor Cold modifiers.

They can come in uncommon and rare varieties. For balancing perhaps limit these figurines to 3 maximum mods with potential for a possible small passive enchantment onto them later in the game.

Bonus for SSF or new SSF variant: All of these figurines would be buffed in SSF.

Why this is a good idea: It would address a lot of issues that people have regarding finding a tremendous amount of loot that they do not need or want in any capacity and provide more player agency towards how we wish to play our character.

If you have any ideas for this please share them here!

Remove MF from all other equipment and make the Figurines.
The base MF would be higher then.

Same as other rare items it can have up to 6 modifiers but all are related to increasing the chance of finding something.

There would be 6 figurines.
1 for each stat, and 1 for each double stat.

Some of the possible mods:
- +X% to general magic find
- +X% to waystone find
- +X% to weapon related to a stat
- +X% to weapon type
- +X% to armor related to a stat
- +X% to armor with mods for armor/ evasion/ ES
- +X% to item with a certain stat (like resistances)
- +X% to jewelery
- +X% to jewels
- +X% to rarity of currency
ty for the ideas!

i also wanted something on gear, possibly on figurines or another item such as a Necklace.... that allows buffing enemies and item find from enemies. example:

Necklace of the Vaal Ambassador-
10-15% more items dropped from Vaal and Native enemies.
5-15% more damage against Vaal and Native enemies.
Vaal and Native enemies deal 5-10% more damage.

This could help customize the end game experience for players who end up with favorite maps.

This cant work since the layer of rng of the mods on it will make the "complaints" of the rich getting richer even worse.
When heist dropped the trinkets that trasnformed currency drops (iirc it was chaos to divines) you bet your ass no one was affording that mod. At least with rarity its affordable, the good trinkets will be waaaay to prohibially expense to even think about buying
the good figurines won't be much better than what you seen in my example. this isn't going to be a traditional rare gear situation where you can get 6 crap mods on one item and you are desperate to find that top tier 1% that could provide an upgrade. For this the mods are relatively homogenized and specialized and there could be a system where you can trade in 5 mixed trinkets for an unidentified trinket of your choice for your specialized character.

OR... we make these Figurines bound to the character. No trading of figurines. Whatever problem you think might exist can be dealt with with creative solutions.

If you go with removing MF from everything except Figurines, then the disproprtion between highest and lowest MF will be much lower than it is now.

I don't think MF needs to be removed. Just re-balanced. And dont allow it on the atlas tree. Don't allow it to stack and stack and break.

If they had this figurine they would adjust drop rates so that you still acquired the right gear in the same amount of time on average. Then when you wanted to reroll in ssf you wouldnt have any gear for other archetypes.
Last thing PoE needs is more goofy ways to alter drop pool with gear.

Two people clearing the same content but getting different types of items is not something I will ever support.

It will always divide players into haves and have nots - and has.

it doesn't change anything except give both players a higher chance to find weapons/gear that they actually use. it doesn't hurt your game in the slightest. it's not like the top elite players will have figurines and you wont. all figurines would be very easy to get. starting in act 1.
