Waystone situation is ridiculous

You are not using precursors and your t15s wisely. This comes down to lack of understanding how the game works.

Watch a youtube video or something.

Which is GGG's fault for developing a game which utterly fails to TEACH you the mechanics it relies on to make your progress glacial!

you are not wrong with what you say.

your advise are probably correct and valid, but the reality is, its a crutch to a problem that GGG created.

being forced to follow guides/YT vids takes away a huge part of having fun in a game organically.

i played the game from zero to maps without any guides. part of the fun was tweaking my gear/build.

solving problems organically.

the mapdrops in poe2 just feels bad and too punishing for most players.

To be honest stop crying about waystone drops, youre even lucky they made high tiers so easily acessible, when i started playing PoE 1 a long time ago only the top players got to run high maps consistently investing massive ammounts of currency to sustain them, and even then it was hard, an average player running a top tier map was like winning the lottery.

No, it´s your fault for relying too much in people holding your hand, half the fun in these games comes from figuring out ways to get better, be it in crafting, league mechanics or even efficiency, people need to stop trying to dumb down PoE 2 more than it already is.

Good, ive ran alot of t16 and still dont have a lvl 20 gem too, some things are supposed to be rare/hard to get otherwise nothing would hold value in this game, people should stop assuming just because theres lvl 100 that everyone should be able to rech it, same for lvl 20 gems, same for pinnacle content etc.

t16s in poe 1 used to be 1 exalt iirc.

i know how it was. i know how it became. people used to even CRAFT their t16s because of how rare they were.

when you benchmark based on the past, you have to remember, back then we didnt have much choices. some people didnt even have affordable internet. game choice was limited. etc.

diablo likes simply did not respect the players time. as did most games. there also was this notion where "more hours spent on the game" meant the game was more worth it.

things have changed. are you going to be an old man tut tutting youngsters for complaining that high speed train rides take a long time when "back in the day" it took half a day or more to travel the same distance that they achieve in a mere hour?

thats you right now.

i do get your point, just that you have to realize, unlike 10 years ago, all games compete with each other and not only games, but other forms of media. theres tons of streaming services, "non legal" streaming services, youtube, podcasts and thats just digital entertainment. we also have a ton of IRL avenues of entertainment which became accessible thanks to development of public transport.

frustration in game leads to quit moments. GGG wants player retention.

and if all that is not enough for you.

this is FUCKING EARLY ACCESS.

remember that. people are MEANT to voice out whatever opinions they have whether YOU like it or not. GGG decides what is important NOT YOU.

you're free to disagree and voice your opinion too. we may disagree but i respect your opinion, you dont like what i have to say thats fine too.

but that said, you calling people out for "crying" is not necessary.

in fact. thats toxic behaviour. you're toxic. stop that

"Watch a youtube video or something." the worst defense for a badly designed game that doesnt explain things for themselves

I never played POE1, wasnt the whole point of GGG making a POE2 to restart and not have a game that everyone states "you need a PHD in the game to get into it"
Were all up for a challenge in game, nobody wants a "challenge" just to understand how to essentially play the game. thats called a badly designed game bud

Youve just defended the POE1 game design that they set out to improve and make it so more people would enjoy it. Which the devs said themselves was the issue in the first place

Insulting people for giving feedback on an EA forum says a lot about you

This is just pointless gatekeeping. It doesnt have to be easy, but everybody should be able to reach and interact with endgame content with enough time and effort.
Bosses should be hard to kill, not just hard to find.

And it just seems like weird progression to kill all the hardest bosses before you can drop a level 20 gem.
I've got full atlas points in breach + arbiter tree and still havent seen a level 20 gem.

But to add the the OP. Waystone drops are awkward. I sustain fine. but i can go 10 maps in a row without a t15 drop, then 10 maps in a row with 5+ (not from bosses)
It feels easy to sustain once you get enough, bt its random luck to get to the point of sustaining. Which isnt that bad, but still feels awkward during progression.
How anyone could defend this is ridiculous. No one gives a shit how it worked in PoE 1. This is PoE 2. A chance for them to make a better game.

Getting tier 1 map drops in a tier 15+ map is dumb as hell. Full stop. If you disagree with that, by all means share the reasons why we need this shit. If you're just here to blindly go along with the status quo then I'm not sure why you're reading feedback to an early access game.

Jaenisch#6703 seems to be the only person with this opinion. Maybe they should just play POE1
