New POE 1 league news? revert pls?

I like the way it is. Would gladly accept some news about the next league though.

Also proud to say I'm never in the made up percentages, as I play on standalone client.

7 games in the history of Steam have ever broken 1 million peak numbers, and four of them are competitive PvP titles like PUBG, CS, Dota 2 and whatnot. You clearly have no clue about these numbers. "Easily"? Ok.

PoE 2 is currently #4 on Steam, ONLY beaten by PvP titles, and the current PoE 2 numbers are the same we see in PoE 1 the first week(s) of a new league. And I suspect that we'll see pretty great PoE 1 numbers when the next league hits.

ARGPs aren't that huge titles.

It is interesting to see people request a return to version x.x and the thoughts around which version of POE was best. Closed Beta folks long for that feeling again. 3.13 folks long for a relatively easier game. 3.15 folks liked a return to a more difficult version. I don't see a lot of 2.x requests though.

I'll confess I enjoyed the simplicity of 1.3 but also think the current version of the game is wonderful.

There is a ton of opinions of what nirvana for this game was and they differ greatly. The only thing that is certain from my perspective is no one is getting a prior version back.

to me POE1's peak was before maven.

things should have been nerfed so that the gap between weaker players and better ones were not too big.

once maven was introduced, GGG kept making more difficult content that most players just outdps or outlast rather than "play properly".

i really do miss it back when 100k dps was considered a lot.

i also do miss the game having no ascendancies, but as it is, they're intertwined now

The game evolves, and so do the players. GGG's vision *for their game* can also change over time, adding or removing things they hadn't considered a year ago because tastes change. It's their game; they can do as they please.

Players have evolved alongside the game. The "casual and less skilled" are left behind, while the truly "good players" stay, adapt, and seek greater challenges.

That's how it works. Complaining about the complexity and difficulty of POE makes no sense. POE has been POE for years, evolving, and it remains the best in its genre—a title it has earned. For those who want games with archaic or simple mechanics, there are other options (they can go play Titan Quest or Grim Dawn, for example—no heavy thinking required there! 🤯 ).

First off current state of poe2 is trash. the campaign was S tier/ endgame is ass.

What? This is a delusional view of the game. If anything the "meta" players in PoE are much worse at thinking through ARPG mechanics than those playing Grim Dawn or other Diablo clones, because they just slavishly copy the builds provided to them by PoE's streamers.

This has gotten to the point where people consider you an idiot if you try to come up with your own builds.

edit: they didn't even have the brains/ability to just give you a set amount of splinters when the mechanic ends. that's how out of touch they are.

POE used to be a good game but they've mutilated it to test for poe 2...

They've made so many bad leagues and kept them in or added them back in different forms..

Poe 1 visuals should be reverted to 2020. POE 2 should be unique in the way it looks if you like plastic fake looking games. POE 1 looked great before they started updating the graphics.

While i too was riding this "3.13 Was Peak" Train, for a very long time too... but was 3.13 better than what PoE is today? No, it doesn't even come close. I get that people want perfect items for minimal effort, which is exactly why harvest doesn't exist in the way it did, because that's stupid. Ironically enough, recombinators this league are probably 10x more broken than harvest ever was, and considering the 3.13 version of harvest only lasted one patch, i'd say for any crafting purposes, this league, and the previous one (Necropolis) were far more accessible than harvest, not having to rely on 3rd party sites/communities to trade for that one harvest craft... idk how anyone could want to go back to that...

And no offense, but your profile speaks for itself, if you actually gave these leagues a fair shot, personally i feel like you would've enjoyed it far more than 3.13.

Just comparing the best items in 3.13 to what you can get today is laughable. And that's all 3.13 was, harvest, ritual was a shit mechanic then and still is, i do agree on the fact that there's some leagues that should have gone core over others, but that's just it, the game isn't for everyone, and everyone will not like everything in the game. For you to actually enjoy this current version of PoE, you need to actually give it a proper shot.

On the topic of Reliquary's and Valdo's? They're absolutely fine, if you do not wish to interact with these mechanics, you can always just not gamble, and sell them for profit.

And even though i have much more to say on this topic of "3.13 was peak", i really think that there's no reason to, anyone who actually plays the game right now is likely to feel the way I do, and that is that the game is in the best state its ever been in.
