Does anyone have anything positive to say about the game?

There's plenty of positive things to say about the game, but these forums are not the place for that. This is an Early Access, which hopefully means the devs are going to be listening to players and adjusting the game accordingly as development progresses.

The devs don't need to hear about things that are working well.
They do need to hear about the problems.

on the flipside i think with all the negativity, i think its also a good idea to make a post on what players like about the game.

i personally think GGG did a fabulous job with poe2. there are rough edges and i WILL complain. but theres a huge ton more of things that make me sing praises.

the fact i m still playing and want to play despite everything shows what a banger of a game they created.

too much negativity is bad.

i know the moderators are reading every comment. so if you have positive things to say. let it be heard too!

but i guess its suffice to say. YOU and me and all of us owe the bitchers/whiners a great deal for doing what they did.

if all you do is see the negative of criticism, you will never improve.

criticism is required for things to be better.

to be honest i really find people like you as people who need to do a little more growing and acknowledge the importance of criticism.

for sure some people are whiners. ultimately its up to GGG to decide what is a valuable criticism and what isnt.

telling people "this game is not for them?"

how dare you.

Enlighten me on the value of "bitching and complain" of a person who says he doesn't like the game but when asked why, can't explain because he hasn't played enough (currently a new thread in "feedback")? Or critisicm of a person who says the game is trash because he gets one shot but when asked for his character stats menu screenshot you see he runs around with negative resistance? You can only improve on constructive feedback not an emotional bitching and complaining.

To be honest i really find people like you as people who need to do a little more growing and acknowledge that bitching and complaining more often than not =/= criticism the company can grow upon.

Of course the game is not for you if you want it to completely change from it's core. Move on to the game that has the core you are looking fro.
Among the years i've witnessed quite a lot of toxic wah wah from various nerdy communities , but when i saw the thread of that guy trying to stir a Class Action Lawsuit against GGG over the EA of a F2P game i thought to myself "damn these guys are a rather salty bunch" .
"Touch grass," mate if you have criticisms, don't diminish them with the vernacular of a circa 2020s social media lobotomite, makes it all pointless.

your statement is as tho you've made your judgement on all bitching and complaining based on ONE interaction.

i m done here.

I know it's EA, and have been playing the game as such. Haven't even made it to maps. I've just been trying out new classes/builds, because I know the insane ones will get nerfd, as they should. Quit following streamers and all the insane builds, and you'll have a lot more fun.

I mean, it is an early access game, so people reporting issues with the game on here is a good thing (if GGG end up reading the posts). But only if they do it in a mature calm manner. People who are shouting and whining and acting like it's the end of the world should probably take a break from the game.

Probably because people have already heard the “vision” and fear that this will stay in the game for a long time, everyone realizes that the game is in EA, but in a terrible state, the game should not have been released in this form, we are literally playing the alpha version right now.
✨ Beta tester Path of Nerf 👀
The only people complaining are people that play melee.

Melee absolutely sucks in this game compared to basically any half decent ranged build. 1 melee skill was over performing (Supercharged Slam) and was instantly gutted within a few hours, there's a plethora of ranged builds/skills just absolutely obliterating ALL content and nothing has been nerfed...we can tell what the devs play, and it sure as hell isn't melee.

There's always a couple that go a little further, but still not every "negative" comment can be put in the same pot, there's a lot of types of criticism and every one deserves it's own place and pot :) .

Now for the OP, if you'll allow me:

I've learned through the course of my work ( which relates on releasing products and upkeep them since I'm a developer for over 25 years now ) that all criticism should be taken under account, even the extremes of it, it's still criticism no matter how "foolish" it might seem.

One main distinction that I can identify reading through various comments, especially the extreme ones, is the confusion between an "early access" vs a "game" [ and by game in I mean an actual production release ], especially when a monetary transaction is placed in the middle.

Some will debate this as:
1. I paid for early access and I understand this is an alpha ( not even a beta :) ). Oh and I also got some coins for MTX. This can also go the opposite way of I paid for MTX and I also earned early access since it was tied either way with the bundles.

This is most likely to be your constructive criticism / feedback person.

2. I paid for early access, which means that the game is at the final stages, maybe a couple of bugs here and there but I'm doing this to be 1 step ahead of everyone else.

These folks will most likely be in the mid-level of grumpiness because they misunderstood the concept, but they still consider it kind of a fair play in broader terms and scope.

3. I paid for a game.

These folks have totally missed the mark of what this was all about.

They will most likely have the worst "rants" because nothing is obviously fair. They would react the same way if it was an actual release.

--

All of the above ( and there's more categories that I could split ) are still valid feedback no matter how bad or extreme they look.

So part of the "problem" ( which isn't really a problem but let's call it that ) was to tie the early access on a "to become free game" with a transaction. I'm not against it at all and I'm pretty sure that GGG also calculated in the meantime as well that they'd have a 'bigger backlash', so it's fine. I'm just stating it as most likely you didn't think of it this way I believe.

People tend to not like "losing" their money obviously and from their perspective that's how it feels. Justified or not, that's a different story but they'll go to whatever lengths they'll think of that it's fair to defend that.

Lastly, opening a topic 'criticizing the people who criticize' at any length and point is fine, that is the whole point of having a discussion. Telling that they need to "touch grass" or whatever other supposed smart thing, isn't the way to go though, you're just adding fuel to the fire.

Edit 1: minor typo edits ( I hope i caught them all, if not oh well it ain't the end of the world... )
