People need to touch grass.

This game is so depressing to play.Touching grass will not help players.
I feel as if a lot of the feedback is from the position that "This is a horrible final release" which is disingenuous at best.

Are there bugs/issues? Yes.

Can they be annoying? Yes.

However, I realize that I paid my $30 in order to be able to be a tester of a game/franchise that I love, and that through all of the pain points -if I do my part- my, and everyone else's collective experience and feedback will lead to possibly one of the greatest AARPGs of all time.

IT's just unfortunate that, to me, the game is so good that people neglect to remember that this is essentially an open beta. We don't have all of the skills. We don't have all of the characters. Hell, the endgame was thrown together in a matter of months so that we had something to do.

I'd say, for those who are unsatisfied: take notes. Create meaningful/logical feedback with potential solutions, and post to forum. Take the emotion out of it, and try to be apart of the solution (despite being one shot from an off screen rare while engaging with the lever in Augury.

I feel totally the same. It sounds like a lot of commenters have no idea, that this is EA.
I've got plenty of nice things to say about the game, but I have little incentive to talk about them here or on the subreddit because they do not need fixing. Devs have 74,000 steam reviews they can look at if they're fishing for compliments. Also I don't know what the common wisdom is on steam reviews to purchases ratio, I've heard something like 5% of gamers and I've heard 2% of gamers, which would put the number of players just on steam between 1.7 and 3.7 million purchases.

I'm really looking forward to when they get back from christmas break and come back to developing the game, it will a months long process and I'm hoping they address minion AI sooner rather than later.

finding nothing wrong and loving the game = reasonable and good for you

playing the game and finding things you dont like and complain = boohoo go touch grass.

OP, condescend much?

the purpose of EA IS for players to test out the game and give the devs valuable feedback so they can make their game better.

u remind me of a friend my mom has, who is a yesman. every thing my mum does, she will agree and affirm my mom.

thats toxic positivity.

to quote one of my fav flavour text from MTG

Friends teach you what you WANT to know
Enemies teach you what you NEED to know

dont be a white knight.

bitch and complain now and let ggg decide to fix it or not.

Sure I have some constructive feedback. I like how Christmas starts on the 20th then gently transitions into Saturnalia ensuring a butter smooth 2 week vacation for all of us to enjoy.

Does anyone have anything positive to say about the game? The feedback forum and most of the discussion forum is just "game broken I can't get anything I want, need instant gratification now".... People need to go outside and touch grass.

Personally i'm enjoying the EA, sure theirs bugs, problems etc but this was to be expected and was stated by GGG it would be this way...

Breathe some fresh air, reflect. Come back when the patch has dropped or something.

Pretty much the reason i try to avoid coming to the forums (but do keep coming back). Everything is bad, everything sucks, everything is trash, dead game because GGG dares to take time off for THE holidays of the year but instead of moving on to games they like, they keep shouting to change 100% of the game. I for one am hooked on the game even if there definitely are things that need tweaking and fixing. And seeing the amount of patches devs put out in the 1st few weeks before the holidays leaves me very optimistic.

But don't you think if a person complains about absolutely everything in the game he should realise the game is not for him and move on to play other games ?

People need to stop saying "touch grass". It's as condescending and cringy a buzz term as "do better" and "problematic".

are you aware that billion dollar companies hire external companies to scrutinize their products and services?

they pay a good amount of money to find out what people like and dislike.

there are of course phases.

dislike, hatred, apathy.

theres a saying that apathy is worse than hatred. hatred implies that on some level, you have a level of care.

apathy means you no longer care.

having a game thats hated where people bitch about the game but still play it implies they still love it enough that they want to keep playing, but with the caveat that they want things to improve.

lets take a look at things POE1 has now that improved the game that would not have happened if people did not bitch about it:

1. in game clock
2. portals automatically opening at the end of vaal areas
3. "automated" trade (currency)
4. dedicated shortcut key to open portals
5. fine tuning monster mods for example purple crystals
6. fine tuning of map mods, once upon a time one map mod was "players have blood magic". bricked entire builds and was simply unrunnable for a large number of players.
7. current iteration of "fragments" to summon bosses. do you remember war of atlas where we had to ping pong influence?
8. atlas passive 3 preset option
9. reduction of XP penalty (via omens)
10. melee getting a huge damage buff
11. currency and other things getting larger stacks
12. SSF (many players fought very hard for this, i was personally against them, but i m happy for them that they got it).

other issues addressed in poe2 that were complaints from poe1

1. not enough skill slots
2. socketing/fusing/colouring was a chore
3. having to choose between a gear with stat upgrade vs having the proper slots.
4. REMOVAL OF TOWN PORTAL SCROLLS
5. Giving alternate weapon slots value rather than just a "gem experience accumulator".

pretty sure i m missing out a whole lot of other stuff.

but i guess its suffice to say. YOU and me and all of us owe the bitchers/whiners a great deal for doing what they did.

if all you do is see the negative of criticism, you will never improve.

criticism is required for things to be better.

to be honest i really find people like you as people who need to do a little more growing and acknowledge the importance of criticism.

for sure some people are whiners. ultimately its up to GGG to decide what is a valuable criticism and what isnt.

telling people "this game is not for them?"

how dare you.

There's plenty of positive things to say about the game, but these forums are not the place for that. This is an Early Access, which hopefully means the devs are going to be listening to players and adjusting the game accordingly as development progresses.

The devs don't need to hear about things that are working well.
They do need to hear about the problems.
