Trial of Sekhemas SUCKS

This whole trial mechanic is complete garbage. I can't make 1 mistake or I either lose my honour or get 1 showed by one of the Bosses. As a melee monk is a fkn nightmare. Rafiq of the Frozen river slows the fk outta me. I gotta dodge roll the other guy so there is little windows to get my power charge. A range character can literally blow through it. Having to play Dark Souls to get my ascendant points is FKN GARBAGE. Change this bs already ppl do not like it.

Seriously.. if there was a headline font I'd use that, but "SUCKS"... so underwhelmingly doesn't get the point across.

It's so bad... so very, very bad.

Even the chaos trials aren't great. Not as bad, but they should let people choose which one they want to do.

I can see lithe, evasive, ranged builds having a better time with Sekhemas and warrior, face-tanking, armor/life builds having a better time with Chaos.

Unfortunately, you can't choose.

And god forbid you touch a poison cloud that normally wouldn't do any damage at all.... Yes, even post-nerf.

I was loving this game until I reached the Trial of Sekhemas. Then I started to hate it. Best example of cheap development decisions (instead of lets say actual boss designs) that end up shooting the developers in the foot.

Hilariously they did the same thing in POE 1.

They made ascendancies... a trial to show you know your build... into a clown show where you have to not only CHANGE your build, but also your entire playstyle in order to get through the trial.

Then they made it even WORSE in POE 2.

Sometimes I wonder what they base their decisions on.

There is a very special place of eternity in hell reserved for whoever came up with this garbage! Seriously, what the actual fuck would prompt GGG to implement this horrible atrocity.
I play with no trading and I don't check build videos. I like the challenge of that. But this trial is so incredibly frustrating that I feel like breaking something. Even when avoiding as many debuffs as possible I keep getting screwed over by afflictions at the worst times and I have no way around them.
On my last three tries everything was going swimmingly and then at the last trial before the two idiotic bosses I get hit by RNG and have no chance in hell to beat the fight.

So, f*** you very much GGG

The honor system needs to go and the same applies to a couple of the afflictions. "You have no ES/Evasion/Armor"? What the everlasting fuck?
I tried the second trial for the Ascendancy points.
I was able to clear the first trial by increasing my Honor Resistance, and it felt a little fun.
But I still lost a lot of Honor in the second trial.
Doing it continuously from the first trial is too long and painful.
I managed to beat the second boss, but immediately after that, my Honor was killed by the ice bullet of the field gimmick, and I lost all motivation.
This is a futile, painful, and extremely unpleasant trial.
Four trials in total?
I'm sick of it.
Sekhemas makes me sad cuz the area is really fun as ranged... But I prefer melee. And as melee, every Rare or Unique creates some damage field that forces me out of my preferred range and I spam my 1 ranged skill.

And then the terracotta soldiers are miserable to fight against from melee. Like, I don't have a movement ability fast or versatile enough to get out of range of the ice mace slam.

I have no idea how you would balance Honour for melee, but the reduction from melee range isn't enough. Just something that lets me actually use my cool, chunky mace skills in peace!

Maybe Honour lost from close range can be restored by quickly dealing damage like the Rally mechanic in Bloodborne. Or you just don't take Honour at all if you're close enough to an enemy—which would be perfectly thematic, since that would be honourable.

Playing as a Monk/Melee is a JOKE.

Playing as ANYTHING ranged is a JOKE in the other direction. "OH LOOK! I can JUST SHOOT HIM and my entire build is intended to do that!"

Not only are the Sentinels stupid but the Scorpion is also completely stupid.

I am Level 75 trying to kill Level 61 trials.

Imagine that. Imagine that. And the build I plan to upgrade to would be WORSE for this trial. I can clear level 5 maps EASILY. But the Trial of Sekhemas OH NO. Sorry, F U.


Sek and Ulti are both really really bad in my opinion, even though I love this game with all my heart. I always skipped those, syndicate and heist every league unless for challenges.
