Too much penalties, lost Map,lost XP, lost node buffs

OK GGG the game is good ,but late game punishment is not.
Are u preparing us for some mobile S**t?
Loosing XP per death - Ok
Loosing a map per 1 death - are u serious?
loosing buffed node per 1 death - WTF?

Combined all 3 above - smells mobile Sh*t

Yep, this game doesn't respect its player's time whatsoever. Many people have already quit because of this penalty, and I'm personally never touching this game unless they remove at least the 1 portal per map thing. If they lose enough players they'll have to cave in and change it eventually. One would hope so at least.
Just came to write same post. Recently started endgame and only thing I can say - its punishing. You may say "It meant to be" but is it really meant to by ONLY punishing? About 20 maps done and only things I got - disappointment and frustration. Not even a singular useful item.
That hurts cos i really love the game
I can only concur on this... it's also not fun to play the campaign with these "mechanics" - You end up ninja-looting yourself in fear of missing out on loot in case you die... I REALLY don't get this.

People who wants this have hardcore.... I mean, what's the deal here? - GGG want's to alienate the entire softcore/casual audience....auch!

The basic question is - Why GGG are bringing HARDCORE play to casual play ?
Only difference between current HC and Soft one if u die in HC ur toon is moved , but gameplay wise HC/SC no difference
Agreed. 1 death per map is stupid. Full stop.

It's really bizarre, and the only thing this will do is completely alienate and chase away their main playerbase: Softcore Trade players. Like if you think about it for 5 seconds it's very logical: A softcore player chooses to play in that mode because they don't like losing progress on death. Hardcore exists for people seeking that thrill and tension. It does not need to be forced upon players who have not opted into hardcore nor have they chosen some kind of "mediumcore". They chose Softcore.

All this will do is make the game bleed players like crazy the more people start reaching endgame maps in the coming weeks and that's just bad.
Did the thought cross your mind that, if you can't do the map in 1 portal, you're not ready to do that content yet?

I know it's difficult, actually thinking and using your brain to work out this design philosophy.

But if you can't do it in 1 portal, you're not ready to do it, and you need to get better at the game mechanically or adjust your build to cope with the lack of skill.

Nope, all this mechanic will do is make the game lose a massive amount of players and potential profits. The game is way too punishing for no reason at all.

Than stick with PoE 1, where you can spam portals until you get a free clear of the content, so you don't have to actually engage with the game, and leave PoE 2 to the people that actually want to play the game.
