Will a Level 100 Boost be added to the shop?

Going through the death penalty threads, it suddenly occurred to me, maybe there's a simple and rational reason for piling on so many penalties.

The design philosophy seems to be to "encourage" players to farm content beneath their abilities, where they have no chance of death, until they outgear and outlevel the challenges/trials/roadblocks in the way.

Hundreds of hours of boring, mundane, farming.

EXACTLY the sort of thing players have proven willing to pay money to avoid.

Rather than go through all of that, you can pay your $60 and start your character right at the endgame ready to face the challenges without any of the boring tedium that it would take to get there. And Hey, no more XP penalty since you're at max level.

Buy the character, buy the gear, play the game.

I hope you're right, but I'm doubtful.

When players are seriously arguing that if you die more than once every one hundred maps you're playing wrong, I have to wonder what the purpose of those maps is. It obviously isn't to challenge the player or provide engaging gameplay.

But creating many hours of non-challenging busy work, and then providing a way to skip said busy work. Well, I've seen this dance before.
GGG has a hard policy on no microtransaction that provides a tangible benefit in game save for the stash tabs (which you could manage with 3, and if really needed to could make seperate free accounts to serve as 'banks').

Sweet summer child...
You are new to PoE and GGG, right?
Because what you describe is totally not what will happen.
GGG will charge you for every hundredth of a percentage of Xp, at the cost of effort and map repetition. And they'll be delighted to see players achieve this through colossal efforts and thousands of hours of play.
Welcome to our world, Exile.

Where would be the sense in a lvl 100 boost ? To skip the entire game and then brag "Iam done" ?

A non-zero amount of players thinks the game starts at max level as this is what MMOs teach nowadays.

We had a couple of players ask for it in PoE1 when we got a huge influx of WoW players a while back.

WoW players have been poisoned by Blizzard and must be cleansed of their degenerate ways. Paying for power isn't gaming.
