Changing This Title to KNOWLEDGE FOR NEWBS...ENDGAME STYLE

I've tried getting my last 4 points for my warrior for over a week. Now it seems like I can't even get anymore Barya or Chaos tokens to keep trying. What should I be doing to get these as drops? I've tried doing the final bosses for act 2 & 3 nultiple times. I've killed Barya about 10 times. I've done bosses for the normal levels. I've farmed rare and unique monsters...Nothing has worked.

Where should I be trying to farm these tokens? Thanks for any ideas or suggestions you can come up with, as I need them (getting frustrated trying to do this with my first ever PoE character).

As a side note...after farming for over 10 hours without a single drop for either trial, I started a few more characters. And OMG, SO MUCH EASIER ON EVERY CLASS!! Where I struggled in spots with warrior, I mopped up with Sorceress, Witch, & Ranger.

My suggestion for new players would be...try the warrior class as YOUR SECOND character. It gets pretty rough at times, but starts to roll by the end of cruel act 3. Plus, having some good drops to start with would also be a godsend for clearing some of the mid-game content (especially a good two-handed mace).

Anyways...What have people been farming to get these tokens?!? 😅

I guess I'll keep a log (here) documenting what I kill for proof that GGG needs to change something when it comes to these trials (espcially as a warrior).

Just killed the twins in Deshar (act 2 cruel)

I got a lot of those and they tend to drop in rather hightier maps - as far as the invitations for the last ascendancy are concerned.

I didnt pay attention to the lowest maptier in which the invitations started to drop but gutfeeling tells its at least t13 - maybe red tier generally does suffice. Not sure about that at all.


You can buy those on the tradesite tho or PM me ingame "SpeedyGirly" and Ill give you one. Better prepare yourself tho, its not a cakewalk.

Honestly Id say, if you cant clear T23s+ with rotten mapmods reliably, you have no business even attempting the final ascendancy...

Edit: The invitations for the 3rd ascendancy should start dropping around t10 maps and also represent proper difficulty. So if you cant clear T10s, you´ll have a very hard time finishing the 3rd ascendancy.

Wait, So I HAVE to do maps to get an invitation? I've been holding off even starting maps until I finished my ascendancies...that sucks.

Tips for early mapping and progression:

- Towers are terrible for sustain and progression. Always use your lowest maps
- Travelnodes are bad early too until you invest into packsize and waystone dropchance, so use some lower tier maps for those
- Bosses is where its at. They drop maps at a very high and reliable rate, often times +1 or +2 tiers above the current zone.

Consequently you wanna rush bosses using your trashmaps to get there and then use your highest and well rolled maps for bosses, if you want to sustain and progress that is.

Its a little weird but I guess its risk vs reward, so it does make sense but you have to be rdy to take on bosses right away.

How do I get Barya tokens, is it the same way?
(already got an Ultimatum token on first map...lvl 65)

Its just a random lootdrop. I dont hink you can do much to increase the odds.

There is a notable on the atlastree for higher dropchances in desert layouts.
Maybe those drop invitations more often by default? No idea.


Just keep going, I have a full tab of those and stopped picking them up a while ago. Its a very common drop, dont worry about it.

I'm gonna be honest here...I have no clue what I'm doing when it comes to maps (or how they work). I just picked Savannah as the location, as it was the closest node to my starting point. I used a Tier 1 map with +70% "Waystone Drop Chance". What should know about doing these things? (if you have time to give a newbie a little more advice)

Are these maps worth doing? How do they work? Should I be concentrating on working up chaos resist or all the resists in general? What progress should I be trying to do inside the atlas? Are there spots I should be concentrating on trying to get to? What does doing higher tier maps do besides better loot?

(Sorry for all the questions, it just seems like a have a very knowledgeable and friendly person kind enough to help thus far) 😊

hmm...Cleaned out this entire map, but no boss I could find. Do some maps not have bosses? I guess I just assumed every map had a boss at the end. 🤷‍♂️
