I'm done with EA unless GGG do something about the trade/pricing scams

Ok was that because of divs? Or was that because someone found a build for them and supply/demand?

There is also only 1k on the market vs 10k+ (higher than tradesite will list) for all the garbage uniques.

If divs never happened, guess what? That ring would be 50-60ex right now.

Plot Twist : POE 2 takes place after apocalyptic events in Venezuela.

There is either an absurd amount of RMT going on or GGG is allowing a small number of players to completely inflate the entire trade system.

Mediocre rare items that were trading for 1-10 exalts are now trading at 300 exalts.

Random uniques that were trading at 1 exalt are now trading at 3 divines.

A jewel with a single useful stat is 1-3 divines. A jewel with 2 useful stats is 10 divines. My build needs ~8 jewels, I'm looking at 2,400 exalts to upgrade my jewels to DECENT ones.

I bought a nice 1100 armor ~170life tri-res armor for 45 exalts 2 days ago, similar armors are now trading at 30 divines.

I'm not terrible by any means, I've farmed probably 500 exalts or so over the last week... but I refuse to continue playing a game where upgrading a single piece of gear is going to cost 900 exalts.

This is the worst trade manipulation I've ever seen in a game in my life.

Nothing is wrong with the economy, this was always going to happen, happens every single league, only difference here, it took longer to happen.

Only real "issue" is that there are far more new players then normal, and they don't understand the market, which leads to inflated prices on stuff, eventually that will settle out, as they either learn, or get frustrated with nothing they have selling and stop.

guess you missed the part where exploit unfixed for about a week allowed botters to print literally milions of exalts bud ...

this is NOT natural development of the market economy but botting and exploit abusing caused hyperinflation ...

This is called inflation and happens basically every league. The more people hitting endgame means more currency being flooded into the economy which devalues the purchasing power of any single currency item.

This is like economics 101.

Any exploits that were used early on to gain currency is dwarfed by the sheer number of players and currency being obtained in the economy now. Doing a map with my brother easily awards us 30-35 exalts worth of stuff per 10 minute run of juiced maps stacking rarity find and we're not even primarily traders.

If you're playing a build that everyone else is playing, you can also expect much higher prices for gear upgrades due to supply vs demand.

And whenever someone suggests dropping PoE's antediluvian trade system in favor of a modern AH based one, someone comes in saying "nay, bots would ruin the economy". Well, color me surprised... not.

Seriously though, try SSF. With current "crafting", I'm not sure how viable it is for endgame, but it sure worked ok for campaign.

I adore the POE trade system. Yes, I understand every argument against it. But I love it. If it was dropped people would sooner or later have the same complaint as they have about the modern MMORP: there is no social aspect anymore. And the POE trading system retains that social aspect, albeit a small one. But you have to message people, you have to visit each other, you exchange a few words and both go on their ways again.

I understand that someone who has played for a long time probably doesn't see it through my glasses anymore. But that is how I see it. I love trading with real people, visiting them in their hideouts and all of that. What's annoying is if the item you want is tied to an offline account, ngl.

Which modern arpg has an auction house?

Last Epoch and it's a better game than this one. Though I still play both and D4 seasonally. LE is my fav, the crafting system is the best of any arpg, in game auction houses and the loot filter is next level.

All the trash uniques that were 1ex a week ago are still 1ex. Someone found out that mings is actually usable. Hence its not sitting in a 1ex tab with 200 other trash items in players stash.
I am trying to buy 3 specific uniques. For all three its the same experience on the trading web site... already for 3 days. One or two asian farmers are posting the item over and over again at a price at 1 up to 5 exalts... but they never sell it, its just bait or for someone who is paying with real money on their farming web sites... all the other items are priced at 1 divine or more... even items which are far away from having that worth... I whispered already 100s of times, not a single response... 99% of those whispers where in some asian language / mostly Korean from what I could see.

Trading system is totally unusable at the moment and I strongly recommend GGG to do something about it. If this comes to the live game, we can just all switch to SSF. Please GGG at least improve the drop rates for SSF if you cant fix the bots and gold farmers.
