I'm done with EA unless GGG do something about the trade/pricing scams
There is either an absurd amount of RMT going on or GGG is allowing a small number of players to completely inflate the entire trade system.
Mediocre rare items that were trading for 1-10 exalts are now trading at 300 exalts. Random uniques that were trading at 1 exalt are now trading at 3 divines. A jewel with a single useful stat is 1-3 divines. A jewel with 2 useful stats is 10 divines. My build needs ~8 jewels, I'm looking at 2,400 exalts to upgrade my jewels to DECENT ones. I bought a nice 1100 armor ~170life tri-res armor for 45 exalts 2 days ago, similar armors are now trading at 30 divines. I'm not terrible by any means, I've farmed probably 500 exalts or so over the last week... but I refuse to continue playing a game where upgrading a single piece of gear is going to cost 900 exalts. This is the worst trade manipulation I've ever seen in a game in my life. Last edited by Herorewind#0887 on Dec 18, 2024, 12:25:05 PM Last bumped on Dec 23, 2024, 12:34:50 PM

try SSF

The bots finally came online a few days ago and it took a bit before the respawn beetle bug was fixed, these bots likely farmed hundreds of exalts an hour, and they probably were running hundreds of accounts. They used the farmed currency to buy out all of the divines, thus inflating the value of them to the moon, exalts are now worthless because there are so many on the market.

I mean you're not wrong, there are people selling Exalts/Divines that claim they have 3,000,000+ exalts in stock.
Was fun while it lasted but not interested in participating in a game with this sort of economy. |
|
And whenever someone suggests dropping PoE's antediluvian trade system in favor of a modern AH based one, someone comes in saying "nay, bots would ruin the economy". Well, color me surprised... not.
Seriously though, try SSF. With current "crafting", I'm not sure how viable it is for endgame, but it sure worked ok for campaign. |

You going to give any examples? Really what unique went up 3000% because of divs? Can you show us this 30 div chest peice that you bought for a couple exalt days ago?
Absolute state of some people jesus The amulets i was looking at a few days ago were 300-400 ex are now 5-8 div, thats really not a huge jump for what is super late game gear. Are there idiots trying to sell them for 10-20 div? Yes. But I watched those sit on the market all night, no one is buying that shit. The +4 80% spirit sceptre i bought for 150ex is worth 2 div now, ie it lost value. Why? Because rich endgame players want +5 now. Does my build brick because I dont have +1 to minions? No. Would it brick with a 10ex +3 sceptre? No. Do I look at +5 30-50 div sceptres and agonize over the price? No. Just because there is more endgame expensive gear you can see now, doesnt mean you are entitled to buying it for peanuts, the early/mid game gear is significantly cheaper now. You dont need 5-6 good mods on every rare to play the game Last edited by BossOfThisGym#2062 on Dec 18, 2024, 3:35:59 PM

the fact youd feel the need to post something so laughably evident and predictible is actually hilarious...you never played poe 1? actually, you never played ANY games with a player controlled trade market/system??
like stop crying and go SSF...or suffer and adapt like the rest of us: this shit will NEVER change. |

Also heres a chest I bought 5 days ago
https://www.pathofexile.com/trade2/search/poe2/Standard/zqkak8Kt4 130ex for it, there tons for 1 div there, that's virtually half the price as it was. Notice how the ones for more than 2 div have been sitting there for 10 hours? Or have an additional res, or higher ES? Not only that, my base is worse and doesn't have 40% faster start of energy shield, that is a literal upgrade for me for the same price. Not only that but if you change fire res to whatever else you need there some there even better for 1 div. I have a feeling new players are like, hmm I gotta get at least 600 es chest, it needs 2 resistances at t5 or higher, and maybe spirit/life when they are doing t5 waystones or some shit. This example above applied to every item slot. Last edited by BossOfThisGym#2062 on Dec 18, 2024, 4:00:47 PM
