"it's early access" isn't an excuse

Yes, Early Access is an excuse. Understanding that, and giving feedback for the developers in order for them to polish & finish the game is what is expected.

Complaining & whining about the state of the game in EA is not the same as understanding the above and giving constructive feedback in a proper and civilized manner. Big difference.

Over the years I've noticed when a game is in early access, anytime criticism is leveled at the game, a ton of users will respond with "it's early access what did you expect?"

My brother in Atziri, I am getting exactly what I expected. That is why I am leaving a detailed complaint. That is the whole purpose of Early Access. There is never a better time to loudly complain about what's wrong with the game.

So, to everybody who has issues with PoE2 in its 'beta', Early Access, testing stage - complain. Complain more and more and more. Give GGG all the feedback you possibly can. I'm convinced PoE2 is going to be great (it already mostly is), but that doesn't mean it can't be improved. Don't listen to these weirdos trying to convince you to just deal with it because it's in the early stage of development. Devs can't process feedback that doesn't exist.

However, it is reasonable to phrase your 'complaint' by way of actually good feedback. The amount of comments just shitting on GGG instead of actually giving decent feedback DO NOT GET AN EXCUSE. There is simply no excuse whatsoever for abuse, and "oh complaining is good for feedback" only demonstrates poor character.

I think though, a reasonable amount of these complaints are, at it's core, rooted in the fact that game is in early access. "Why is this bad? Why did this get nerfed?" etc. and other balancing concerns, are simply caused by the fact that balance is progressive and to think that people expected to have a stable game with no balance changes in early access is mind-boggling.

If a large number complaints weren't rooted in players having biased or warped expectations about what an early-access game would look like and they actually were civil and gave constructive feedback, then I wouldn't have an issue with it, but once again, no excuse for toxicity with the thinly-veiled excuse of calling it 'feedback'.

Well said.

It's not excuse but let's be real here.

It's big difference in proper feedback and words being written well

People that are providing feedback most of the time are mad because this game is not what they dreamed about when they announced it.

Deal with it.

I agree….sort of…hear me out

Complaining about something broken sure ok but screaming like a child and calling the devs 💩 and useless…..no that’s where it becomes insane and those ppl absolutely need to be reminded it’s a beta

Games a huge step back. Not enjoying poe 2 or its devs at all. Nerfing mid builds while leaving a build 50% of the playerbase is playing alive? Why invest in a build if it's going to get nerfed?

It's "early access" not a beta test.

I think you mean that saying "it's early access" is an excuse.

Otherwise, yeah, I'd agree; it's not an excuse, it's the reason.

Feedback is of course not only fine, it is, I imagine, highly expected at this stage.

Of course not all feedback is equal, and some is unnecessarily harsh, accusatory or downright just insulting and inflammatory.

Though out feedback tho is a great thing and something the devs need.

Is this the "you should not complain about complainers" thread ?

Having thrown money at an early access videogame gives no right for some to behave like cancerous twats under the guise of "we're critics" . I know that social media ( and social interactions through the digital world in general ) made at ease some people who believed they could behave like toxic crybabies and get away with it but don't come crying back when you were the one swinging and did get hit by a reflect .
It's not an excuse. It's the actual reason.

That's what early access/beta/pick your synonym periods are for.

Learn that, and you'll be okay - or maybe just wait until full release when we know everything will be perfectly polished and balanced right?
feedback does not equal whine and complain is not the same as being a cry baby (;
if you have nothing helpful to say - just shut up, the game is in EARLY access - it's a beta, not ready yet... what's so hard to understand?!

"it's early access" isn't an excuse

That's right! An EA does not even need any excuse for whatever because....... it's an EA!

torturo: "Though, I'm really concerned, knowing by practice the capabilities of the balance team."
