Drowning balls: too sneaky in POE2

POE 1 drowning balls: produces a beautifully designed water-muffled audio effect, blackens the UI from the outside in giving good sense of when you die. Sneaky enough to catch you if you are unaware or trapped, thematically beautiful even if you die, but mostly functions are area denial and a nuissance.

POE 2 drowning balls: produces about as much noise as someone pouring a glass of water in the next room, very mild blurring on the edges of the screen, and now were dead. Way too sneaky in the middle of a swarm of stuff.

Can we have POE 1's effects please? They are both cooler and less frustrating, while still presenting an appropriate degree of danger.

or just not have that thing as a common monsterskill at all feels way to punishing especially if thers multiple mobs araund that cast tit from diff directionns sepecially since they seem to be homing
I thought the effect looked nice.

My only problem with them is that the same mob also chills you which stacks with the slow of the ball making your dodge roll move at 1 cm per second and take 6 seconds to finish rolling sometimes while you're stuck inside the bubble unable to move.
I posted about this, myself... Nobody responded, so I may as well respond to yours!

As a Warrior, I used Leap Slam. A water ball got cast under me. It slowed down my animation so much that it looked like I was just floating there, and then I died. Full HP to zero instantly. No chance to dodge roll, no chance to get out of the way, I just had to watch as my character floated in the air overtop the water ball before suddenly dying.

Instant death attacks need to be removed. They can be changed to just deal damage, which can be tanked if you have the HP, resists, and/or armor for it.

And Warrior skills need their skill speeds and animation speeds greatly increased.
I've died about 6 times before I understood, what killed me and how it works. This orbs a horrible as they are

I hate them. I can sit AFK for 20 seconds with a swarm of monsters attacking me, and still have time to use a potion and kill them. But a single little water bubble will insta-kill me if it sits on me for 2 seconds. Add a slow, and my Warrior animations become so slow I literally can't save myself.
This is biggest bullshit ever. How we can play hardcore? My best charaktera dying from that stupid idea
you call that minor? i never died to this as its pretty clear something is afoot lol. its more intrusive than eater from poe1

Yeah I searched these earlier as I hadn't been able to tell for sure what was killing me. I thought maybe it was the combination of whirlpool and blob as I tried just standing in the blob and it didn't kill me when it dissipated, but apparently not. It must have dissipated before it killed me with the kill being purely a timer?

Sometimes they seem to have appeared on top of me mid slamm, before you know it you are time warped, rolling at a speed a snail would be embarrassed by and then dead.
