Leveling Alts is PAINFULL!!! heres a solution...

With every playthrough you'll become more effective + you'll probably have enough currency to buy good leveling gear to faceroll the whole campaign.

With those 2 things you can rush through the campaig within a half day.

Early Access league runs for probably 5 more months ....why do you want to have everyting "finished" within 1 week? ^^

You have plenty of time to create 100 more twinks and you'll be faster from run to run. ;)

Took me 14 hours to level a new monk to endgame.

I don't think that is bad tbh.

But i guess people are used to hitting endgame in 2 hours.

Edit: I wasn't rushing and i barely funneled any resources into it.
Just used what i've learned about the game and it was a breeze.

I see people throwing out real fantasy numbers like 25+ hours to clear the campaign.

Leveling alts in this game is the most boring experience ive ever had leveling a second character like i get it the campaing is good but there are 24 different classes when the full game release its just inhuman to have to play 6 arcs every single time i want to try out a new characters like whats the point of that? just a colosal waste of time it sucks the fun out of the game it feels like they punish you for wanting to try out a new character

Yup. I don't really get the concerns.

You can zoom through Act 1-3 Normal in about 4h if you skip trials and only focus on + side quests.

Act 1-3 Cruel takes 3h as by that point you actually should have a working build.

Carry for 8pt trial is 40 exalts.

You can get to maps with 8 points in an ascendency of your choice in under 8h and 40ex poorer.

I've done that 2 times now. Pathfinder as first char and then Witch Hunter, Stormweaver.

I did the same thing with my pathfinder in pretty much 8 hours except for the trial carries which I did myself. If you're really efficient about it you could probably get it down to 6 hours.
I don't feel this is even needed at all. Check all the leveling uniques, especially weapons. Now with the method of vaal them with 2/3 sockets, they are even more powerful.

I blasting with my alts through campaign, and I'm not even wealthy, I don't trade much. Mostly play SSF, with some currency trading.

If you use the stuff that is alraedy in the game, the campaign is already half the time with alts.

The only change I think is needed: some of the uniques, like the wands, have skills on it that scale the level with the itemlevel. But the stats keep like for level 11 or so. So a lifesprig with a level 17 chaos bolt or whatever is on it, which makes it a level 75 item, is plain useless for any alt.

small tip: watch the last video from Kripp on that topic, he has some neat tricks:

Play with friends, and have them whizz you through it, so far our fastest has been 6 hours 20 levelling a spark stormweaver, just need right gear to not die. 1-65 that is, through entire campaign.

it wouldn't be bad if we could just get random maps to play through instead of doing the campaign again, like level 1 mapping?

GGG has always sticked to campaign leveling, even though people have asked for Diablo-like "adventure mode" leveling. I think adventure mode would be bad for the game, I prefer the campaign leveling like it works in PoE1 and Last Epoch. I also think campaign leveling will be great in PoE2, they just have to tune down some of the way too huge campaign maps in act 3. In the current state act 3 is a drag. We have to wait and see for act 4-6.

Similiar experience here, I am quite sure that once we have all gems/weapons available, reaching 6 hours for campaign is reasonable.

But the thing is, that the average player today would rather whine and moan instead of reflecting on their own gameplay, trying to find the problems and actually try to improve.

Remember the posts first few days how the first trial of Sekhema is virtually impossible for what seemed to be for majority of people on forum/reddit? Yep, people are just that bad at video games while in their head they imagine, that they are top 0.1% :D

Enjoying the "We need server wiped" posts right now, chuckling away at all those delusional people that think that they will have it easier in fresh economy while everything except Astramentis/mirror tier items are dirt cheap.

I like this type of comments

"You have to play the game, but I paid to get carried"

For the OP... yeah, GGG won't change the leveling mode. Like in PoE 1, we will have to slog through the campaign to level ALTS.

Just craft boots with % movement speed, slap some raw damage on your weapon and make your character as beef as a spongebob.

After a while you will be falling as sleep, but will have reach the endgame again.
