Yes, a Cosmetic rule with partial set to true to simultaneously Hide and change the appearance of drops, and to Continue with other rules. You can see the items when you press alt, or until some other exception rule Show it again, so I personally am using this to prioritize higher level bases for no-thinking-gameplay. :D

As a visual suggestion for the implementation, you have on the left side for each custom drop tier and cosmetic rule a checkbox if it is enabled or disabled. You could replace it with some button with three rotating states (Show, Hide, Disabled).

Aha, now I get it! :D Ok that's quite leet-level filter tinkering :D. You're totally right, I'd need to add a 'Show' toggle to the cosmetic rules and/or custom drop tiers. But given how edge case this is, I'd be reluctant to have it take up as much place as it would. Similarly a 3-state toggle at the start of the row instead of the on/off would confuse people, I think. I've added this to the backlog to ponder over.

While I do think you have the correct thinking process, personally I think you went wrong with incrementally hiding flasks by including a strict 20% quality requirement at the end.

Actually, those quality requirements were from before you could salvage flasks for those baubles. Now this whole section actually doesn't make much sense anymore; any quality flask is valuable to salvage, along with Ultimate flasks. Hm, don't really know how to fix this without making it overly complex. Also added to backlog to rethink this.

If you decide to add the auto-hide rule, the 'Auto' would also fit into the dropdown menu. Actually to several other dropdown menus as well, like 'Hide Gear by Rarity', 'Hide Life Flasks', 'Hide Mana Flasks' and 'Hide Currency'. Would likely require quite a lot of refactoring. :D But if you decide to do so, you can probably be quite lenient with them. As in the way you got items tiered, you probably do not need to hide the Expert tier items even at T16 waystones, nor blue gear items before maps. They can still roll quite powerful for a new and old players, and we need all the chances we can get.

PS: If you do the auto-hide rule, make the font also smaller, it makes things so clear what to prioritize. :)

Hm, I'll think about it. I see the appeal, but it goes against the philosophy of being explicit and in control. But then again, many people don't necessarily value that; so if it's not too intrusive nor too much work to maintain, I might as well add the option. Will think about it.

Thanks for the feedback!

Your filter allowed me to show drops the way I wanted. Thank you :)
First of all "Many thanks for the filter Editor :)"

Maybe I do not use correclty.
I try to hide many type of stuff and want to show only some specifics.

In my case, I define rules to Hidden all that have no quality/Socket, but by default the Quality/Socket=zero is not write in filter. It miss a switch to turn on/off the values even if zero.

How can I do this type of filter ?

What I have:
Hide
Class == "Helmets"
Rarity <= Normal
PlayEffect None
MinimapIcon -1
PlayAlertSound None
DisableDropSound

What I try to have:
Hide
Class == "Helmets"
Rarity <= Normal
Quality = 0 <== here
Sockets = 0 <== here
PlayEffect None
MinimapIcon -1
PlayAlertSound None
DisableDropSound
Thank you.

It seems you need to write show lines and not just the hide ones.

"Hide
Class == "Helmets"
Rarity <= Normal" Is a good start. Then to get the socket and quality to appear:

#######################################################
##### Socketed & Quality Gear Exceptions
#######################################################

Show
Sockets 1

Show
Sockets 2
MinimapIcon 2 White Kite

Show
Sockets 3
MinimapIcon 2 Yellow Kite

Show
Class == "Helmets"
Rarity <= Normal"
Quality >= 1

Indeed. Using the right-hand side of the Quick Filters, the concept is that first you define what type of gear you no longer want to see; based on rarity; base type tier; and/or item level. And then you define quality and socket exceptions to that (and then exceptions based on your preferred weapons & armour types).

i was recently on Discord, someone with my Lootfilters had a stream openend and he was cheering about the filter. i reconized on his map overlay all highlight icons were visible regardless of distance to the player.
these were in fact visible across all map overlay.
for me its not the case, i only see them aprox 2-3 screens around me, fading when i range them out.
he told me the lootfilter made it and he didn't do anything else himself.

Q:is this optional toggleable somewhere to have minimap symbols not fade off proximity of player?

Thank you so much for all the work that you oput into this. It is AMAZING how quickly and easily we can customize the filter the way we want.

I have the drops showing up in precisely the way I want to - some with sounds, beams, minimap icons and some not.

Great work. Interested to see what the future holds for this site.

I've heard this before, but I have no idea what would be causing this.
