A plee to tone down the nudity
Personally I think some eh... cute areas of woman bodies do not need to be covered at all. First of all - I'm getting angry when I see unrealistic coverage like hair or random things that look like glued to the ehm... covered places. The second - why the hell does this game have violent cannibals, groups of armed people running around and leveling by killing hordes of monsters and wait no sexual moments? Whaaat?!
" Muahahaha check out the Settlers II - that game is rated E but got some beautiful interface that you are observing during the whole game! Last edited by FLYBAT#0392 on Jun 25, 2012, 7:39:23 PM

(Edit: removed pointless arguing)
You know, I went to Japan a few years ago. I was in a mall, and there in the center of the main plaza was a statue of a woman naked from top to bottom, sort of like ancient Gree statues. She was hanging from the air, flying like an angel, with a small girl, whom was naked too, flying by her side, holding her hand. I don't want to get in the debates about Japan and Asia in general's strong separation between men and women; but these are people who appreciate beauty where it is found, and who don't have a "sinful" view of sexuality. That's the problem here in the west: we get educated believing that nudity (not even sex mind you!), just nudity is "wrong". Pretty sad state of affairs. In Witcher 1/2 you'd have some mileage about the way Geralt treats women, or the way women are represented (all with huge boobs, naturally...). There is NOTHING whatsoever in this game so far that is demeaning about women, IMHO. Last edited by DeF46#3887 on Jun 26, 2012, 9:54:17 AM

I had to jump in a post my 2cents, and please take it for being just that, simply my opinion... but seriously OP? Did you just recently crawl out from under a rock?
I mean, do you not watch TV, read Magazines, go to the beach, or actually leave your house? The "nudity" that you find offensive in PoE is outclassed by society on a daily basis in areas that are PUBLIC PLACES... Not to mention some of your complaint points are literally mythology and lore that without the sexual aspect would crush the entire myth all together... Think about what you are suggesting: Sirens: In Greek mythology, the Sirens (Greek singular: Σειρήν Seirēn; Greek plural: Σειρῆνες Seirēnes) were dangerous creatures, portrayed as femmes fatales who lured nearby sailors with their enchanting music and voices to shipwreck on the rocky coast of their island further: Femme Fatale: The phrase is French for "deadly woman". A femme fatale tries to achieve her hidden purpose by using feminine wiles such as beauty, charm, and sexual allure How would sailors ever be lured to their death by a Sea Weed Dress wearing woman on a rock, afraid to show her goods? Seriously this topic gets me beyond aggravated, it really is posts and ideas like the OP has provided that halt progression as a society... Why are we SCARED to show the human body in its beauty, but we are ENCOURAGED to show it being mutilated and beaten on until blood squirts out every 2 seconds of a video game or other art form? EDITED IN: Furthermore if this is actually an issue to you, simply do not play the game, or exist in 2012 world society. It is the common practice for a women to dress seductive and with less coverage, and these women are not just "woman of the night" they are buisness women. Likewise it is just as typical for a man to dress in clothing and shirts that are flattering to being bigger, and broader, bold strips and sharp angles. The Templar and Marauder are topless half the time showing their muscles, society is just starting to catch up and accept that women should be afforded the ability to reveal themselves as well. Ancient society embraces nudity and the beauty of the body, and african tribes still embrace it today by not covering up either male nor female... Get off your "moral and ethical high horse" and embrace the society in which you live in. ------------------------------------------------------------- Beta Tester Since: v0.9.0 Proud Host of Aug 2011 Fan Art Contest ------------------------------------------------------------- Last edited by Mordliss#6130 on Jun 25, 2012, 8:21:21 PM

Guys, can we please tone it down in here? The OP is fully justified in giving his feedback, just as you are in giving yours, and the fact you feel differently about things is no reason not to be polite. Some of the posts here are creeping very close to being attacks on the OP rather than arguing against his opinions, and I'd rather not see the thread go that way.
To the OP, I'm curious about this part: "Who are you referring to here? The only woman I can specifically think of in Act 2 are Alira and Yeena, both of whom are clothed (I'll grant you Yeena's not wearing a shirt, given that her tribe doesn't have such things, but the animal skin she's wearing does cover the naughty bits). " I think your alone on that matter, therefore the game simply won't render to your aspect. Last edited by neroscapegod#7009 on Jun 25, 2012, 11:07:23 PM

The OP is certainly not alone in these opinions. Other people have brought this discussion up in the past, so there's no reason to single him/her out. This is the kind of issue that most concerned people wouldn't bring to light out of fear that others would react just as they have done in this thread.
Opinions are never wrong. Please keep that in mind when discussing them. Closed Beta/Alpha Tester back after a 10-year hiatus.

I don't think there is any nudity in the game aside from the siren. And it's not totally human.
The men are the least dressed in this game. Kinda refreshing actually. Every man's conscience is vile and depraved. You can not rely on it to be your guide when it's you who must keep it satisfied.

It has its place and I think it's done rather well in PoE
