Poison is WAY too strong!
See title.
Poison damage in Act 3 is way too strong! Combined with enemies trapping you, you don't stand a chance. Last bumped on Jan 29, 2025, 11:45:55 PM

Which enemies? I think poison damage is affected by physical res. So if you have high physical res poison kinda tickles you.
|
|
Don't you have ailments threshold/ways to regen and or leech life during combat?
|
|
Life regen completely trivialize any danger from poison.
In fact it's not hard to out-regen its damage. |
|
It's certainly 100-0d me extremely fast a couple times.
Wouldnt mind if the same damage was spread over a bit longer time. I also haven't even looked at how to counter it so could very well be a stat issue. |

Fair Points.
But as a Sorceress I don't have high physical res. Anyway: Just wanted to mention that it's way too high for a casting class. Now I can handle it with ice wall blocking it, but before I had to run hit, run hit run hit and of course using flask every five seconds. XD |

" Is it physical res? I was thinking it was chaos resistance. Since some skills that do poison are described as doing chaos damage. |
|
" It's chaos damage. Most people will have 0% chaos res, and -40% by the end of Cruel. That's why poison enemies are so overtuned. The game just doesn't give you the loot or tools to get chaos res. |

I really fucking hate that we're still doing this stacking resistance debuff bullshit in 2024. Just because Diablo did it doesn't mean it's a good idea.

Absolutely agree. Ridiculous and I'm playing a monk. After the dreadnought and the end boss bullshit. I was hoping for something to hold on playing the game further. Also can't respec as I have no gold anymore. I made a mistake at a vendor took everything as I thought it was my stash...mistake and a costly one.
Being blocked by enemies is the main reason I will no continue or frankly continue with the game. The dreadnought boss fight was a joke and was able clear it after several attempts. Game feels over tuned and does not reward for the time spent. Both in Elder Ring and Wukong you got rewarded and felt accomplished when killing a boss. After getting frustrated on the mobs, fighting the boss feels like trash. Just something you want to get through hoping on the back end there is something of value. No, just shitty loot. |
