This game is f*cking unplayable on my PC

Specs first:

- Windows 10 64-bit
- RTX 4070 GPU
- Ryzen 7 5800X CPU
- 16 GB DDR4 RAM

Yeah, sorry for the language, but this has me really upset. I dropped $30 on this game and it's like playing on a goddamn flipbook because something's wrong with the graphics and nothing I do fixes it. I've modified every setting in the graphics menu, I've tried every resolution, I've even watched 4 different "boost your POE2 framerates!" videos and the most I've gotten is, like, an extra 5 FPS out of it. Which doesn't mean much when I'm still peaking at 50 FPS. And that's when I'm standing completely still - the second I start moving or fighting or if I walk near something that puts out light, the framerate fucking buries itself and I can't do anything. I've seen 3 different threads specifically about crappy frame rates on this forum and none of the devs even bothered responding to them. So, yeah, for now, I'm out. Call me when "early access" doesn't mean "paid alpha".

EDIT: Okay, I tried a bunch of suggestions and I'm pleased to report that I'm now pulling about 90 FPS. I had it installed on an HDD instead of my SSD, which I think helped the most. I kept the multithreading on & turned off the upscaling & vertical sync, too.

You should probably have a lot more RAM
You're saying 16 GB is not enough to play this game? 16 GB is more than I need for Control, FFS.

Does your PC have an integrated GPU? (from CPU or MOBO)
Sounds like the game might be using it instead of your RTX 4070

You shouldn't have any problem.
You might have some old drivers ghosting up the machine.
I’ve run into the same issue before, and my hardware setup is pretty similar to yours. I later realized the game was installed on my HDD instead of the SSD. Not sure if this helps, but it might be worth a check!

Don't think that would affect fps, at least not to that extreme
Mostly just loading times
In the graphics menu
Where GPU is listed
Does it say RTX 4070?

Depends how they do loading... if they're not pre-loading all the stuff at the start of each level, but instead grabbing data on the fly, then it can impact things pretty heavily.

The whole "it's only load times" thing is very overstated nowadays.
Im running RTX 3070m, Ryzen 5800h and 16GB ram on a laptop at 1440p with 75-100 FPS. I think it might be your end not the game
