The Boss Fights in PoE2 Feel Exhausting

"
It’s the best game ever made.

If it’s too difficult for you, play poe1. I’m not trying to be rude but if they drop the difficulty to Diablo 4 levels, I’m out and so are thousands of others.

Just equip trash items, dont use suport gems, lower your restistances and you can make the game as hard as you want.

Noone is stopping you.

No its not just you.

The way the game is setup currently punishes every little mistake you make and sends you in an endless spiral if you are even slightly off-gear or off-build.

Being hard stuck in acts is just terrible game-design due to poor decisions made in the development process and should NEVER be a thing, especially in combination where players cant even get gear in the first place to make their character stronger.

Constantly dodge-rolling doesn't take skill, doing the same repetitive move over and over on a boss takes no skill either.

Anyone saying 'Just go back to PoE1' yeah thats exactly what will happen if there aren't any significant changes made to increase player retention, because if there are not PoE2 will have lower player numbers then PoE1.

Where does it say in the game you have to 'constantly dodge roll'? If you are getting punished for spamming dodge roll, then that is the correct result.

Or…you could just grind, play the game and get better loot then progress? That’s what it means to play the game. Not everything needs to give you instant gratification and a dopamine hit just for touching your keyboard.
Clearly you haven’t played any souls games that are not Elden Ring then. As saying these boss fights are exhausting is like an initiation right for anyone playing a non Elden Ring souls game. Can’t tell you how many times I died to Four Kings or Orenstein and Smo in Ds1 when no I first played. Those fights are exhausting.
boss difficulty seems kinda perfect for me. I wouldn't want it any other way right now.

I can only judge of the small part of the game i played right now. End of act 2 in normal difficulty.

I had a couple of difficulties with some bosses and I just skipped them or went back to lower level area's. I leveled up a bit or changed my gear and those "impossible" bosses went a lot easier. Some even went with a breeze.

So those bosses that first looked like "souls bosses" people describe suddenly aren't those hard anymore.

you still need to dodge and watch your placement and the mechanics but after leveling they are way more easy and aren't any of a burden.

once again if you did all these and you are in a more difficult area like cruel and those things and leveling and changing gear didn't help well then my mistake and i still need to find out those overwhelming challenges.
I find it interesting how the POE1 community, who for years has reacted indignantly with "git gud" and "stick with Diablo" to complainers, are reacting to those same messages now that they're the target of them.

If these bosses are so difficult then why am I already doing them again on cruel difficulty?

I’m not even a good player…

I don’t think it has anything to do with difficulty and everything to do with people wanting to rush to endgame because they’re impatient.

After having fought a boss for 10 minutes, multiple deaths, strategizing... I get an orange gear drop... for not my class.

Not a single item the boss dropped was usable by me. I mean, come on.

Just beat another boss. Another Orange item, once again for a different class. No boss yet has dropped loot for my sorc. Not a single one.

That seems like extremely good luck to me… The other night I spent almost an hour on the act 1 boss on my warrior. This was 3 attempts, because warrior dps is so absurdly low that each attempt takes 15 minutes.

My eventual reward: A couple blues and a transmutation orb. This has been my general experience with all the bosses so far. Halfway through act 2 and I’ve yet to see a single rare mace drop. I’ve had 1 regal orb drop.

I know there’s rng, but the extremely low drop odds (and severely gutted crafting system) in PoE2 just fosters a feeling of utter helplessness that really doesn’t fit with this sort of game, particularly not the early game.
If people love hard boss fights, those people should go after them in the Endgame. I do not see a reason why to make bosses blockers for proceeding the campaign. Just why?
Most people agree that the real game starts in the endgame. There you can make bosses as hard as you want them to be, because I can just skip them.
I have now 65 hours playtime and I am currently in Act 2 on cruel. I don't see me doing this every league START.

I REALLY love every other aspect of the game, but please make the campaign bosses body throwable.
