Everyone hates the trials of ascendancy.
You know you're talking BS right? Simply because any "constructive criticism" is not valid at this point! The game is made and the devs have decided that you run Sanctum and Ultimatum for ascendancy. There is nothing "constructive" you can add to this the only thing you can say it it's eithr BS or you enjoy it because you're some kind of masochistic weirdo.
You don't even realize that this is not about being "emotional", it's the fact that most of the playerbase in POE1 did NEVER like either Sanctum nor Ultimatum and some even both, but yet you are forced to do it nevertheless because otherwise say goodbye to Ascendancy which is a crucial part of the progress and game. Here is a "constructive criticism" for you, go back and implement the old Ascendancy trial, it was good and definitely more fun than this BS what we have now. But guess what, THEY CAN'T DO IT! why? because they have to overhaul a whole fuckin game for it! Like I said before I like the game a lot, actually much more than POE1, BUT I don't like the way they force a game mechanic on people which most of the playerbase don't play at all because PEOPLE DO NOT LIKE IT! So here is a token of thought for you, you want constructive criticism but you know very well yourself that NOTHING can be changed in the game right now simply because the game has been build upon this mechanic right now. Instead being the FANBOY try to elaborate. And by the way it doesn't matter where I write my thread or complain. Writing it under another title won't change the fact that you will come and troll the people over there for "whining". So stop being a fanboy and try to emphasize with people who has a problem with it. |

Everyone? Don't talk for me, thanks. I very much enjoy the trials of ascendancy in PoE 2. Did them on 3 characters by now and there is no end in sight.

Sekhema so far feels ok (though granted I'm at a bit of a wall because 91% accuracy means 50% hit rate on the Vaal city mobs before act boss which is a huge pita as a slow mace build so I'm not Cruel let alone maps yet) because every attack is telegraphed. Only a couple bad rare encounters gave me much trouble so far and caused a failure after learning the final boss's mechs, despite the fact they really need some tweaks on them volcanoes and falling stalactites. I can almost perfectly avoid the boss's damage (I've only encountered the one so far though) usually only getting hit by his like 3-stomp combo because the animation doesn't match the hit box (attacking his butt that shit still hits me). Oh, and the expanding 360 PBAoE has zero telegraphing and seriously needs some.
Ultimatum, meanwhile, is so fucking overtuned that it feels like GGG expects us at level 38 to have more than 30 chaos resist and all others maxed with at least 3k EHP. My damage isn't the issue, it's that the curse effects are too god damn strong for skill to compensate, and WAAAAAY too many of them completely fuck over a slow slam build. " Finally someone who states the right thing instead playing the fanboy. It's too obviously OP for a mechanic to get trough with it. Not all builds are OP damagers that wipe the screen in mere seconds, which I haven't seen up until now. Just some builds are really good but that still does not take into account how ridiculous the debuffs of Ultimatum is. possibly the worst decision so far is forcing this for character power and will likely kill the game. expect 10k players by launch if this remains.

I was loving pretty much everything about the game until I got to the Trial of the Sekhemas, and I hated it so much I decided to just start a new character so I wouldn't have to see it again for a while. I have a feeling it's going to make a lot of people just quit the game. It just baffles me that something designed like this got included in a game that's otherwise so great. The honour system is a shockingly bad idea, I don't know how the person who came up with it didn't just get laughed at.

The trials are absolutely awful. The mechanics are just atrocious.
Ultimatum could be saved by simply removing the ultimatum mechanic and just making it a thing where you fight monsters and bosses. The ultimatum mods are all awful and unfun and all way WAY too RNG. 10 rounds where you end up getting monsters with always crit, 3 different projectiles dropping on your head every 3 seconds, enemies that always slow you on hit and more is just tedious. Sanctum could be fixed by removing honour, but in order to do so all the encounters need to be re-designed because you're literally just walking away from mobs in the "press the crystals" challenge and whenever you are fighting mobs they don't actually pose a challenge except for hitting you with some stray hit, even the boss. |

This new sanctum trials are just awful. I avoided Sanctum as I can and now I am forced play it. It's no go for me.
Plz tune it down or replace. |

Agreed, the sanctums absolutely suck the fund out of the game.
Something as important as ascensions shouldn't be gated behind impossibly hard challenges that you also need to grind keys for to even get to attempt! |
