Id be curious to know if everyone saying they like it only did the first 2 ascendency trials because those are a cakewalk, third ascendancy is ridiculous
imo you should not lose honor on boss fight, or at least very minimal. i just ran the 3 floor fucking perfectly only to lose on Ashar because of honor loss, i dont want to waste 1+ hour every try this is ridiculous and not fun at all. |

agreed i hate the trials and despise ultimatum as well. Not to hard just to dumb, ultimatum you often get 2 mods that quickly brick a boss fight or slog through the other trial to lose all honor on the last boss wasting all the time spent. (meaning time is not valued for something that is not an option (no, 2 terrible choices ultimatum or the other doesnt actually give you a choice)) So alot of people i know cheese it by getting lower level versions or just dont do it at all.

The game up until now was good for me. I liked the game a lot. My only and main beef with this game is the ascendancy trials and the choice how they have decided it to go.
I can't say I'm a fan of sanctum but it was manageable to some degree. At least on my frost mage character. Could not do it with my mercenary because of lack of DPS. I absolutely despise Ultimatum, never done it on POE1 and never will because the mechanics are shit as hell and anyone who thinks that this is fun is either a masochist or has some mental issues. Honestly GGG why are you forcing people to do something that they don't like to begin with? OK there are people who loves this maybe. They can play that mechanic as a league mechanic but forcing people to do this just to be able to get the ascendancy? Id love to hear all your opinions again once you're at the third ascendancy.
People in this thread are talking about "first floor" or first 4 ultimatums. Go try a 3 floor, or 10 rounded once you're level 80 and clearing red maps and we'll talk. It's WAY overtuned. |

" it's not crying. It's bringing up some mechanic maybe 80% of the playerbase hate and you just put it in the game's most crucial part so he/she has no way around to do it. Many people in POE1 avoided these mechanics so why forcing them to do it now? is it fun? Maybe for you but for many people it's not. Before you do something in your game you should at least make some research on how many people plays this mechanic at all. |
