PoE 2 is boring and not fun
I completly agree. POE 2 is just going to be a shell of what the amazing POE 1 is still. They stripped so much of what POE 1 did great. You can't even get your hideout untill a second playthrough. There is no reason for this and I would say not having this makes it even more dull. Are you kidding me!?! Being forced to trade to get a decent DPS weapon is just wrong. A ton of people don't like trade with other players. They like to farm and craft their own. You can't here, they took this away. Item drops suck, crafting is just about not exsistant. You get just a hand full of curenecy which is terrible. I love having a ton of items and the RNG "Slot Machine" style crafting. I know not everyone liked that but at least meet somewhere in the middle to make everyone happy.
The bosses are great but they have way to much life. It's like taking on a world boss by yourself. They get boring because you pound on them forever. I hope they keep updating the first one because I don't have any confidence this one will ever be good. If this is really 50% complete, there isn't going to be much else here. They took to much out and there is not alot to see here. Just go home. You can't make a million diferent builds eith this one. There is just not evnough options here, and I will be surprized if there will be much more upon complettion. |

" Noone wants to play PoE 1 anymore, it's much more fun to play PoE 2 and cry how boring it is. |
|
" Well... I'm waiting for 3.26... when? |
|
" WASD 4 lyfe boi |
|
" But without new content, nothing to do in PoE 1, it's clearly too boring to play even though it's bloated with content. Which is not a surprise considering what kind of gameplay it has. I'm expecting that when PoE 2 will have a lot of content, it will be much more replayable (but only for people who enjoy this type of combat, ofc). Poe2 is a mess I agree, its so broken, that I doubt it will ever become a decent sequal to POE1 which is great.
The most genius parts of POE1 are not included or have been messed up in POE2. The crafting and currency for crafting is broken. The whole flexible socket system is enchanged for a rigid, nonsensical "new" system that adds nothing but heartache, Is it simpler yes, but it is bad design, yes also. Endgame is missing, the character trees are lackluster and equipment stats is a mess, tier and prefixes is messed up. Trials etc. are a joke with the biggest joke being, what in the hell was GGG thinking taking money for something this dreadful? I got thousand of hours of POE1 and love poe1 its an amazing game. Poe2 is a botched experiment in my book. |

" People just play PoE 2 because they already paid for it and because of the graphics. But the game itself is one of the worst, most frustrating experiences out there. People playing a game because it is the newest and because it looks better is not the same as people playing a game because of how good it is. The only ones having fun with the game are the ones cheesing the mechanics. |

" People are playing 2 months, because they paid 30$ so they can't stop playing? After 2 months, they still can't realize that they have worst experience ever? :) There are no other games to play? People are playing the game that long only if they are having fun with that game. Even if they are saying that the game is horrible, among all available games they are choosing to play this one, which means that during this period it's the most interesting game for them. Most of the original post is simply missing the point :)
There are many flaws Poe2 has currently but the mentioned ones are part of the game. Poe2 was not designed to replace Poe1 but to offer an alternative. If you want movement skills, crafting bench, portal to a map when you die, portal scrolls, just continue to play Poe1, simple. I like the differences that Poe2 offers, it feels refreshing, like one of those small void leagues from Poe1's past, where you were offered with some things that don't exist in the normal game but you were also restricted in other aspects at the same time. Really if I would be feeling like this I would immediately return to Poe1, finito. |

" PoE 2 made me appreciate PoE 1 more. I've actually had a lot of fun leveling couple of characters to 90 and even did my first HC run. Sure, it's easier but it has so much QoL features that PoE2 lacks. And it has meaningful crafting. PoE2 feels great during campaign and then it falls flat on its face. Now I'm just waiting for 3.26 so I can finally take a full-on dive into endgame and try to kill all the pinnacle bosses for the first time. Last edited by _ZLoBny_#7128 on Jan 27, 2025, 8:14:28 AM
