It's in the known issues at least.

The workaround that I've been using which I saw on the forums, was changing to vulkan - playing with mostly everything on low - keeping Task Manager open and once POE 2 opens you go into details, find POE and change the affinity so it uses 2 less cores.

Still has high CPU usage but if it does freeze while loading you're able to actually kill POE 2 and not be forced to hard restart your PC. This works more or less until they get it fixed up.

It's impossible to use first ascendency on acts. Mana/life cost is very expensive, but life leach or regen not available in sufficient size on tree nearby the witch start point or on items

What made you change your mind? I still find it odd to lower a rarer currency but claim it helps more common ones
