How dare Path of Exile's community want the sequel to their game to be a better version of it.

See, the thing is, "better version" is subjective. If you ask me, PoE2 is already a better version of PoE1, and it is very early in EA. It was better even before these buffs. So it is not up to you, not up to me, and everybody can play whatever they want. You are welcxome to only play PoE1, or Last Epoch, D2, anything.

Hi, what's the status on the hundreds (thousands?) of people having PC crashes and freezes?

The crashes I have experienced happened almost entirely during transitions. It seems to be related to the CPU getting hammered and then hard locking at 100% across all cores, possibly as a result of some multi-threaded race condition.

What I've found that has greatly reduced the risk of crashes (at least on Windows 11) is setting the PoE2 game process to "efficiency mode".

Before you start the game, bring up the task manager. Then start up the game. Once you get to the login, alt-tab to the task manager. Find the PoE2 process in the list (it will be obvious). Right-click the process and select "Efficency Mode". Then go back to the game and login.

For me, this has practically eliminated all the hard locking. I suspect setting the process to efficiency mode forces the game to leave some "breathing room" on the CPU.

I'm sure the developers are aware of the issue, but multi-threading issues can be a PITA to debug.
I believe that it is not necessary to increase the drop, because the feeling of reward is lost. At the moment, I like the difficulty of the game.

The game literally asks you if you want wasd or mouse as the first thing before you even get to move your character, change it on the input settings.

either u trolling or dint played game. wasd is must have in hard boss fights. dont reply, not place for arguement.

??????????? You can literally pick Mouse and Keyboard or WASD in the starting tutorial. You can further change it in settings. Before you come at me with "it is a must have in boss fights", it's not. Skill issue.
W start!

So just screw those of us on the campaign is what it sounds like?

What the hell is this?

You've given a boost to drops for everything but where it's needed - leveling.

Most of the item changes are for leveling? Rare monsters are in the campaign. Currencies are in the campaign. Act bosses are in the campaign.

I honestly feel more stuff dropping this morning. Got like 5 rares within like 15 mins of place with a good amount of blues.

Wanna play longer to see.
My feddback? Its boring, not fun, uniques are garbage(why???), items are boring, warrior skills are garbo.
Playing marauder @ Hardcore leagues

"Better version" isn't subjective at all, you might like a different thing, but it being different doesn't mean it's better.

To make a better version of something, you have to get the best qualities of it and amplify them.

This is a different game altogether, the qualities PoE was known for are either gone or diminished, so it's factually not a better version of PoE 1, again, you might like it, and that's perfect, but it's objectively not a better version of PoE 1, it's a different thing.

PoE 1 was mainly known for the build diversity, the "you can make anything work", and that's simply not here, the passive tree is dumbed down tremendously, the skills feel like they are shoehorning you into certain builds, they feel restrictive, more than open to experimentation.

PoE was known for the zoom gameplay too, which obviously is gone entirely.

Again, I repeat, it's perfectly fine that people enjoy PoE 2 and even think it's a better game than PoE 1, but it definitely isn't a "better version" of PoE 1.
Nowadays every other game has dodge rolls, and here you already could dodge from all troubles. And now even though monsters... what a bummer
