POE 2 - Immediately Crashes before Log-in/Title Screen

I've tried a slew of things and I cannot get POE 2 to run at all.

Issue:
I launch POE 2, (gone through steam and website launcher)
I see the rotating gears, hear music, crash without a bug report or anything.
Or if I'm lucky I'll get a glimpse of gargoyles on a roof and hear rain/music but will quickly crash.

Things I've done in no particular order:
Reinstall game
Verify integrity via Steam
Install game through website
Update graphics card
Reinstall graphics card just in case
Update Windows
Run game as admin
Run with Windows 8, 7, and Vista compatibility
Run with "disable fullscreen optimizations" enabled
Change "renderer_type=DirectX12" do DirectX11 and Vulkan
Delete the poe2_production_Config file
Deleted the entire Path of Exile 2 folder w/ said file and other folders

I'm at a loss. No clue what else I can do at this point. Other games run without issue.

Please post what version of Windows you're on and your full system info, processor, graphic card, etc.

I am having the same issue. Sometimes I crash before I can log in, sometimes while viewing my character, sometimes when I try to play my character. I didn't have these problems on the first day.

specs:
i7-8700k
RTX 2080
32GB 3200MHz RAM
Z370 Aorus Gaming 7 mobo
Windows 10 Home 64-bit

I have noticed in task manager that my CPU spikes to 100% usage before crashing. CoreTemp shows that my CPU does not go above 60C while this happens.

computer specs:
i9-14900KF 3.20 GHz
64.0 G RAM
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090
Windows 11


edit: not sure if this matters but I was gifted a key from a friend.
note too: my wife has the exact same computer and her POE 2 (she purchased) works just fine.

Wanted to share and bump thread for visibility:

I have 64 minutes of game time... Not playing the game, but the sheer volume of attempts to log into the game and for it to immediately boot me out.

anyone out there successfully using a gifted key from a friend who had received a free POE2 early access for funds spent in POE1?

Having this same issue - first day was fine, played around 10 hours, second day was fine for a few hours but then the crashes started, havent stopped since. But now I cant even open the client to log in.

Yesterday I tried my wife's steam account on my computer - installed her game to my computer (since she paid for hers and her POE2 works on her computer), and I still had the same problem. Immediately crashing soon as I opened the game.
Strangely, I was able to get the game to work on my computer when I streamed the game through her computer - not sure how that even works. But I was still using her account.


Maybe, just maybe, a dev will notice this thread and have an idea of what's going on. Why the game won't load up.
