Settings not saving properly POE 2 Early access

I have tried now 5 times to get my settings to save. I rebound input keys, changed video settings, Sound settings and a few game settings. I hit save. they work fine then if I log out all the way to desktop or the server goes down when I return everything is back to default. I am tired of spending 20 min a session rebinding things how I like it to just have to rebind it again if the server hiccups or evertime I need to log out for a break. Is there a workadounr until this is fixed as this is playable but very unenjoyable as I like my inputs a specific way.

Steam player if that matters.

I'm experiencing the same issue. Settings aren't persistent, only last until game is closed.

Playing on standalone.

EDIT:

TL;DR - Yay, Fixed! Urgh, OneDrive really!

So, I figured out the issue causing settings to be non-persistent between the PoE2 game client closing/restarting (obviously it won't necessarily be the same cause/fix for any and everyone experiencing the issue).
For me though, it was a read/write access permissions issue related to using OneDrive Backup, affecting where PoE2 saves the config files because the "My Games" folder option "Always keep on this device" (for some reason) had become unchecked.

For anyone else that also uses OneDrive and is experiencing this same issue & cause, it's quite a simple fix:

1. Open File Explorer.
2. Go to your "Documents" directory.
3. Locate and right-click on your "My Games" folder.
4. Ensure the option "Always keep on this device" is checked in the context menu.
5. Finally, double check that the "My Games" folder (and sub-folders) are now stored locally on your PC (indicated by a green check mark within a green circle to the right of the folder/file's name).

That should fix the issue for you too :).

Without really researching it, I'm guessing it may be that while stored on your device, your PC user/account is the file/folder owner which might be affected somehow when stored on-demand in OneDrive.

All fun & games :).

Same. On STEAM. I just want to keep my Portal bound to T, dangit.
In Windows Security you could check the "Virus and Threat Protection" --> "Controlled Folder Access" --> Manage controlled folder access --> Block History, let it load the list and check the top listing, select allow for POE2.

Just something to try.
This totally worked. Now I can even see the intro videos. How about that! Thanks, kind-Sir!
Personally I noticed my Windows Defender was blocking %userprofile%\Documents editing of the PATH due to the process PathOfExileSteam.exe. This was due to the feature "Controlled Folder Access" turned on. Also I uninstalled OneDrive because I don't use it...and I read it saving there for some reason.
Im having the same issue and have tried all the options above. I don't have OneDrive, my fire wall is letting all Poe2 access. im also on steam
same...
its also create weird folder names...
Which is kind of anoying
Tried all that too
I tried all of the above solutions (and some others) and it did not solve the problem. On my Steam Deck, the settings are saved. On my (brand new) laptop they are not. It is driving me crazy. :(
