[PoE2] Infernalist Demon Form not working with Spirit support gems

Two things to know about demon form:

- if you have some support gem linked to it, it will cost spirit when in demon form, so if you dont have enought spirit you cant use demon form

- when you swap in demon form, you swap in a new weapon set where both weapon are disabled, that mean all the stats on your weapon wont affect you anymore, so if you have attribute on your weapon for some requierment, they will be lost


I hope the second one is a bug and not an intented feature and will be fixed soon.


Edit: There is a yellow message on your weapon in your inventory when you shapeshift saying:" this item provide no stats while shapeshifted", i guess this is not a bug but an intended feature, really bad design in my opinion.

have some of the already mentioned issues as well.
kinda sad, demon form was the reason i picked infernalist.
ended up refunding the skill for gold and going for the dog instead

Just realized this. I have wasted so much time using my spirit in useless supports that don't actually work.

How are this gem supports even recommended when they haven't checked they actually work?

Okay, I have been using it a lot. No it doesn't seem to work with spirit supports yet. Also This mornin I haven't been able to use it with my chaos build and I don't know why. I used it last night jsut fine. Wake up to find the demon foarm is kicked out on anything that is not a fire spell. Though the tooltip hasn't been changed to say only fire spells. Still says all spells. I can't use it now because the game says no. GGG help.

I hope GGG fixes this soon, really sad not being able to fully play my ascendancy

Just want to chime in that I am also experiencing problems with Demon Form and spirit gems. Supporting demon form with vitality causes the skill to not work at all. Also, and more importantly, I cannot activate SRS or Grim Feast while in Demon Form either manually or through the weapon set toggles.

Very disappointing.

Supports that demand spirit or spirit gem buffs do not work

The Energy Barrier support gem will not socket into it either, even though there is no reason why it shouldn't. It can socket into other "Persistent" and "buff" gems.

Same here, not able to use demon form whenever any spirit reserving buff is active.
Also some spells (e.g. Profane Ritual) cancel Demon Form.
