[POE2] Long loading screen
Problem is the devs are not very good at optimizing performance. I can run games like GTA5 and Skyrim at maximum settings with 100+ framerate and POE1 caps out at 100 fps, but probably would be much higher.
The game relies way to heavily on CPU to load shaders and models. It would be much simpler if they would just cache them in RAM or at least the gpu's ram instead of loading them every time you press the map button or try to load a new screen. Game looks like dogsh*t playing at the lowest resolution, meanwhile any AAA title looks amazing on the same specs. GGG expecting people to fork out $200-$300 for a processor that will handle the game. Might as well just buy a PS5. |

Also, GPU Utilization, 12% running at 43 degrees Celsius. CPU utilization 100% constantly. Seems like the game is trying to render graphics using the CPU and not the GPU.

Hello everyone! I had this problem from the first day of launch.
i5 4900f 1660 Super 16 GB RAM 2400 Hz At the moment I installed the 4060 card, nothing has changed. I reduced the resolution by 77%, it became better. Next week I will install a new Intel Core i5-14600KF processor and 31 GB RAM 6000 Hz. I will write about the changes. Gateway: Moscow P . S . Sorry for my English, this is Google translator =) |

I've been playing on my newer rig and its been fine. Playing at 1440p
I7 13700K RTX 4070 32 GB DDR5 6000 Samsung 990 PRO M.2 PCIe Gen 4 I tried on my old rig I gave my wife and load times are way too long. Mobs fail to load for several seconds. It isn't just when the map loads, it happens through the whole map. I'll be getting hit and not see anything. CPU is pegging out. I even turned the settings down some. Frames are hitting 100+ I5 8600K RTX 3060 16 GB DDR4 SSD It is still a viable and capable rig. I've played many newer titles and AAA games on it including Cyberpunk 2077. Kills me the wife uses it for web browsing =/ The game got some issues with the 8xxx and 9xxx cpu generations it seems. Last edited by Airtech#2908 on Feb 23, 2025, 11:11:31 PM
