Cruel act 2 Ascent to power quest and uninterractable ascendancy shrine

You don't need to go to the cruel difficulty.
Bring your 3-stage token to the normal difficulty, you already have the waypoint.

Just finished campaign with my second character, ignored the trials quest starting from act 3 but I entered the Temple of Chaos zone by mistake and the quest "Find a use for the inscribed ultimatum" appeared. The boss didn't drop the item and when I try to open a map it says "You can't access endgame until you have completed the campaign. I guess it's reroll time again :')

Here's how to get all ascendancy points:

- Ascension 1 = Trial of the Sekhemas (Floor 1), or Trial of Chaos (4 trials)

- Ascension 2 = Whichever trial you haven't done for ascension 1

- Ascension 3 = Trial of the Sekhemas (Floor 3) in a 60+ zone, OR Trial of Chaos (10 Trials) in a 75+ Zone

- Ascension 4 = Trial of the Sekhemas (Defeat final boss) in 75+ zone, OR Trial of Chaos (defeat Trialmaster)

It is bugged, the problem is not the requirements, it's that the boss supposed to drop the quest item that takes you to the trial of chaos often doesn't drop it (even if you kill it multiple times). It also seems that people who go in a regular one and complete it aren't able to click on the ascendency shrine (even though it is glowing). Some of us are even hardlocked in the campaign because of this, as you need to complete all quests before using a waystone but these quests become impossible to complete

I was able to enter a map by joining a friend, he opened it. We cleared it but as soon as I go to my hideout I cannot open one myself. Seems like the only way to avoid this bug is to completely ignore Ascent to power and Trials of chaos quests starting from cruel mode. Don't enter the Temple of Chaos zone and don't pick up the inscribed ultimatum that the bird boss drops, just keep going forward and you will be able to access endgame as none of these quests appeared in the first place

How is this not fixed yet...?

I can confirm this is not the case. I just did a level 65 trial of sekhemas and did not got my 5th and 6th points to spend. Altar is not active.
