Witch Minions, totally unplayable

"
So much SRS being mentioned in this thread. Appears to be mandatory to even make a minion build viable. It looks that way anyways. I'm guilty too, I use them. Because every other alternative just sucks major volleyballs.

I mean storm mages, cleric, arsonists, warriors are all used. Archers are great for early leveling but SRS as a spirit gem yes, there's no better option.

Zombies are just abysmal atm. Long cast times, only 20 sec duration, slow to move. They need buffs in every way possible.

Infernalist fire dog is amazing. We don't have spectres yet either.

I have a lvl18 spirit and skill infernalist atm and it's awesome.

Slow clear, but on bosses it's party time.

Mmh i dont have Problems with my minions inBoss fights.
I trained theyr resistances, live and revoke time.
This had help much to save them.
Next stop is the option that one of
Your equipment count for them
never had issues with minions, they become stronger with srs, but even before i first tried all but 1 boss and most areas. it takes a moment, but you can still safely kill everything, especially with poison/ dot as additional dmg sources

I found this thread, because my experience was the exact same. I am now lvl 57 despite all the hardship early on.

One big tip I took away here was the SRS buff of Sorceress, that really improves your life versus bosses.

I follow the "build of Kripp btw, https://mobalytics.gg/poe-2/builds/life-stacker-infernalist-kripp which works really well. It turns the Arsonist into real damage dealers. I run with one Storm Mage for the Shock and the Hellhound provides Fire Exposure.

I looked at that build and it looks like a pretty interesting take stacking life/strength/armour instead of life/int/ES - how are you finding it plays without clerics? Found them pretty useful for keeping minions + pain offering alive.

Has anyone of you actually beaten the Forgemaster alone? And I'd like to know what level you were and what Ascendancy you play. I'd like to know what I'm doing wrong aside from trying to make Titan with Minions work ;P

The problem is that "witch minion" are 2 different builds and one that works from early on (fire witch) is trying to invalidate the complains from the other one
the problems:
1. skelly lack of damage early on:
An easy solution is for GGG to swap Brutes or Reavers for the ice mage, this would solve the majority of the problems

2. revival minions survivability under heavy aoe
Either add a default "-% aoe damage taken" for the revival minions or maybe on some passive nodes. Because for some bosses their survivability is really pathetic, they get insta killed constantly

3. anything related to corpses is undoable because there aren't corpses available 24/7. If we can't spawn our own, it's a "win more" mechanic where you need to have killed a bunch of enemies to spawn them and get the ball rolling. On the majority of bosses there are simply 0 of them and if you try to make a build for this, it's over
Solution: There might be a corpse spawn skill that isn't on early access that would solve the zombie/unearth style

Step-by-step guide with detailed explanations in the pinned comment.

You will melt through both areas and maps.

Use Arsonist.

Arsonists will handle maps fine on their own.
You don't need to activate their skill.
Just put the right supports on them and relax.

Magnified Effect (more AoE = hit enemies multiple times) + Scattershot (even more AoE) + Martial Tempo (Scattershot reduces our speed; this is to balance that out).
You can take Fire Penetration (lv 2) + Minion Mastery (lv 3) afterwards.

Damn, I just tried them out, they slap. Every other minion is just inferior. GGGs probably going to nerf them instead of putting the other minions on equal footing. Might as well try to have fun with it while it lasts ^^ Thanks!

thank god someone made a build like mine, I think I was taking crazy pills with those str nodes. Whats the point of casting speed or bothering with int and energy if life = more minions
