Continuous Stuttering/Lag Despite Stable FPS and Internet in PoE 2 Early Access
I suppose the issue could be serverside or it could be due to high frametimes. I have rather high frametimes when vsync is enabled (13-18ms) and when I turn it off, I get between 6-8ms (equally divided between cpu and gpu). In town I consistently have 15-20ms frametimes which feels stuttery. My fps stays between 205-220.
cpu: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D gpu: AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX os: Linux using steam's proton experimental branch gpudriver: amdgpu in-game renderer: Vulkan |

I guess we can not count on GGG to fix it this year...

Like this doesn't even make any sense. I had awful fps in Blooming Field rn then I tried putting my max processor level to 95% in the Windows power settings. It now runs at a smooth 60 fps. Huh?
It's like there's 2 layers of weird lag here. One is server side despite the ping being good. One is some weird shader/CPU thing client side Ninja. Last edited by la_blue_girl#0819 on Dec 22, 2024, 12:04:28 PM

I had to pay $60 for an Exitlag subscription just to swap my routing to a new server without packet loss or latency spikes just to fix this issue. No lag for 3 days now and the game is pristine. GGG really needs to get on top of this...no idea why it's radio silence over acknowledgement of this problem.

It is easy. If they will not fix it.. ppl will go back to play another game. Bucause why to stay? If it is unplayable.

There is no way I would pay $60 USD each month just to play PoE.

" 10 years of ignoring it in PoE 1. Why would they start now? |

Having the same issue. Ever since the latest patch came out I started experiencing network spikes. Before the patch it was smooth.

" It's not $60 per month...Did you look at the site? There's an offer for $5/month at $60 total. That's besides the point though, Exitlag has fixed the issue on my end. |
