New to ARPG. People say this PoE 2 is hard.

1 day in and I'm already level 20 on Witch. Died a few times to bosses but that's about it. People keep saying this game is hard and should be like Diablo. They want to 1 shot bosses. I don't know how that is fun to people but if that's the case why not play Diablo?

Anyway its been a breeze with Witch. I'm not sure why people are complaining. And I don't even like ARPGs.

I've not played the game since 2012. I was interested in the game at the time but had no idea what an ARPG is. I've always been an FPS/TPS player. It also seems you're mad according to your recent forum post telling GGG to ban you: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3597091

But hey, good to know I'm better than you.
Becuase they are used to holding rmb for 45-60 seconds and be done. PoE2 is a game where you need to actualy play it.
The problem is that people played an ARPG called Path of Exile for 10 years and were waiting for a sequel in the same genre, but the developers released Dark Souls RPG
lul pressing dodging all day long is not gaming -.-

I've played PoE 1 for at the very least a week. Witch was much more tedious but the combat is almost the same; slow and enemies hit hard. Maybe endgame you all could 1 shot bosses? There are lots of Asian games like First Descendant where you're able to use one single skill to clear entire mobs while afking. Why not play that instead?

To me, I like a challenge and challenges are fun to me. It's really a pity how soft the gaming community has become.

I like that people have picked up this "it's a Dark Souls RPG" point and ran with it. It's blatantly untrue, or - at least - only true in the most superficial, shallow sense of the word. Just because PoE2 has tweaked some of the bells and whistles around the ARPG formula it shares with every other ARPG (including PoE1) doesn't make it Dark Souls. It's not like PoE2 was the first ARPG to go down that path.
MOAR PANTS, because every good game needs a pointless meme.

That sums up that you belong in Diablo, not PoE 2. If you assume spamming dodge is going to save you, you're not even attempting at playing the game correctly.

I've played Guild Wars 2 since 2012, the same year I've bought PoE 1. And that game only has two dodges.

nope, i think the issues come from people that played poe for about 5 years, people that played for 10 remember the game was kinda like poe2

you played for a week. i played for 6000 hours. and my complaint is not that the game became "difficult", but that the game became simple and stupid. they removed 95% of the crafting and character development mechanics, which were the essence of the game. the difficulty of the game was in having an encyclopedic amount of knowledge about it, and not in the need to press the spacebar in time. if anything, pressing the spacebar is not difficult in reality.
