PoE2: "Failed to connect to instance"

Just got hit with this. Couldnt log into any of my characters. Tried switching servers, didnt help. Im not using a vpn.

Bout five minutes later everything was fine.

Ok then.

Was there ever a resolution to this problem. I am stuck not able to join any other instance than my hideout for all of my characters. Anytime I try to go somewhere I am getting "Failed to connect to instance". I do not have a VPN and I have ATT Fiber.

Just had a very similar issue. finally progressed to endgame and on my first map network/server crash. for a while I couldn't even load into the character, not I can't load into any instances and I'm stuck unable to change the first map I picked or clear it. Very frustrating.

Just also experienced this bug, tried some stuff and had interesting results but no luck resolving on my own.

Was playing Sorceress in Act 3: Utzaal zone in US Central server (Washington dc) when instance froze and crashed. From there I can log in. However, attempts to return to that character result in failed to connect to instance. Trying to log in with other characters also resulted in "failed to connect to instance."

Returning to the login screen and changing to US east, I was able to log in with a different character located in my hideout. From there, I could return to character select then return to my Sorceress. That did succeed in loading the Utzaal zone. Unfortunately, attempts to leave the zone or recreate it from waypoint result in "failed to connect to instance". The zone itself is the same instance with the same level of map completion.

Its like a corrupt instance or something leaves your character in a bad state and you get trapped. Will try tomorrow to return to the character.

Edit: Also not using a VPN for all of the above.

Same issue. Root cause ever discovered? Seems to be affecting enough players that GGG should figure it out.
