PROBLEM WITH PERFORMANCE ON POE 2

Same problem I have ASUS TUF GAMING F15 with i5-11400H and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop 16gb ram
I tried everything from this topic also reinstalling latest/installing old video drivers enabling/disabling whole game videooptions also enabling debug mode and other options in Nvidia panel some configs with lower graphics nothing worked
I have 40 fps just staying and less then 15 in fights
Also I noticed that my videocard working on low frequencies(from 210Mhz to ~500) but heating the same
Any help or should I just patiently wait for patch?(or refund..)

Yeah I'm stuck at 35 fps and when the density increases it goes down to 8fps. the shader never goes down really always full green and the CPU going nuts meanwhile GPU sleeping, stuttering and sometimes gets frozen.

When i do a ritual altar, strongboxes or breaches its over frozen until my character dies than it comes back, lost like 20 maps this way...

I got my pc 3 weeks ago, rtx 4090 and other monster parts first week worked fine but from Christmas the servers latterly got garbage. I play cyberpunk 2077, cs2, Forza horizon 5 and 4, Baldur's gate 3, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Elden ring 0 issue in any of these games.

My MS is on 2-15 does not spike more than that. I got yesterday GeForce now and I'm getting 240 fps now honestly this issue is going on for 3 weeks now and been know in the forum for 3 weeks now and GGG just talked about releasing another update to nerf shit instead of fixing the servers... GeForce now do not have loot filter but still better than trusting GGG fixing server they had same issue on poe1 not once they even tried to fix it and that game cam out 2012. trusting GGG this days is like trusting blizzard only difference one company knows to make good game and the other do not.

All, I might have a solution, this worked for me.

Download GPU-Z and look at Bus Interface. Most cards are PCIe x16 4.0.
Look what is says after the 4.0, it should say @x16 3.0 or 4.0. Mine was saying @x2 3.0. No wonder the FPS was capped at 50 because that was all the GPU could render on only 2 lanes instead of 16.

What was the issue? An M.2 SSD was using the PCIe lanes of the GPU. I have 2 M.2's, I removed one and voila SOLVED. GPU is now at x16 3.0. Frames now at 144 DX12 in POE2.

I hope this solves it for you guys as well. GOOD LUCK!!

While this could be an issue, there's a BIOS setting that when enabled it dynamically lowers the PCIe version of the GPU to save energy.

I have found at least three solutions that worked for me, but two of them were one-offs.

1 - Use a power plan file (I linked this earlier). Worked immediately, went from 45-50 FPS to 150-200. Stopped worked when I relogged.

2 - Disable my integrated graphic's card. Again immediate jump to 15-200 FPS. Again, stopped working after a relog.

3 - Delete the shader cache, reboot, start PoE2 first off before even opening the browser. 150-200 FPS. So far this is the only solution that has repeatedly worked.

Those steps need to be followed though. I tried simply deleting the cache but the game went back to 50 FPS. But deleting and rebooting for some godforsaken reason does the trick. So well indeed that I disabled multithreading to stop with the computer freezes and still have around 80 FPS when fighting solo (though the lack of multi threading is visible when in town where FPS drops to 25).

One might think that 45-50 FPS isn't too bad. And it isn't, game's playable, but the FPS does not tell the whole story. There is a visible micro stutter that the FPS does not reflect. With the shader deletion trick the micro stutter is visibly gone.

But the real star is disabling multithreading which has stopped all the computer freezes the game was causing. Mind you that my computer is pretty recent so 70-80 FPS might not be what other people have, but don't take the performance in town too importantly since we spend very little time there.

I did these things but the changes are small. like ~+10fps. from 60 to 70 fps.
the point is, the cpu always at 100%. is it safe?
should I worry about the temperature? I dont know much about computer. its 7500f+4060 and everything was at max setting - full hd

If you are running a amd card and have high gpu usage, try reseting your "shader chache" in Amd Adrenalin.
Same Issue on a 4070ti. Tried everything, feels like it hits a cap between 40 and 45. Game has no stutters at all but justn cannot increase frame rate above that limit.
Still waiting for a fix GGG
When?
What resolution is the monitor is just as important as what cpu, gpu, ram, etc your using. Without the resolution there is no context or expectation for how much FPS you should be getting. Depending on how much ram your GPU has built in, is

I use 4k, 3840*2160, hardware is in my Sig. I range from about 90-100fps at best to 40-50 at worst.

For an AARPG (and this varies from person to person) I find anything 30+ to be playable, though of course 60 or 90+ is more smooth. Anything <20 fps feels like I am walking on a very sticky floor and is just plain "ewwwwww."

If you have 8gb or less Vram having a second/third/etc monitor might not be good, depending on resolution etc.

A big one to check, if your GPU and Motherboard both support Resizable Bar (AMD calls it SAM or Smart Access Memory) make sure it is on.

If you have an AMD x3d CPU with more then 8 cores 16 threads, or some 9000 series CPUs even with less CPU cores, make sue you have done everything to properly configure Windows. Depending on the exact model.

Using the NVidia/AMD/Intel provided utilities to make sure your on the latest driver is really important too.

this game looks like running in 30 fps on every stream. performance is poor. they added upscale settings and with that game looks like minecraft.
and this spark textures... horrible. i miss spark from undecember
Hey everyone

I have a solution for low FPS. I’ve got a MSI RTX 4060 ti but an old CPU i7 7700k and an old motherboard with PCIe 3.0.

All you need to do is activate NVIDIA DLSS in the game graphics settings. This fixed my FPS from at best 30 to a constant 60FPS even during boss fights and huge mobs. Game is sharp on 1080 and it’s a whole new experience. Yeah CPU’s will run hotter. I just upgraded my CPU cooler and re-applied the thermal paste. Dropped the temp by 10 degrees Celsius. You need a decent CPU cooler.

Game runs like a dream now.

Cheers
