PROBLEM WITH PERFORMANCE ON POE 2

It is specifically a absolute CPU overload problem when you switch from semi online ( your hideout , solo play) to full multiplayer instance.

The performance is cut down on my system from 135 fps to 50-60 in ziggurath base (nothing going on at all idling) to as bad as 30 fps in mapping depending on the builds in play and the host. The cpu bar is fully red all the time as soon as you are online in a lobby or instance, doesnt matter what is happening on screen. Doesnt matter if you cut your rendering resolution down to the lowest setting, doesnt matter if you use DLSS, FSR, NIS at any setting. Its just absolutely TERRIBLE.

This is a 6 core i7 8700k @4.8 ghz + evga 3070 TI ftw3 which is a absolutely decent pairing of cpu and gpu (its right at the top end of what the cpu can push to the gpu without throttling) A 3080 wouldve probably been too much for this cpu.
Also the Evga card is a monster on power delivery and OC.

Temperatures are NEVER an issue on my system ever, (corsair hydro i115)and
3 fan setup on the GPU. The power delivery is exactly on spec with one of the best PSUs ever made (corsair rm 650x). And yeah its absolutely enough for a 350 watt gpu and a 95 watt cpu + 2 ssds. Mainboard is Asus Z370 F gaming. Ram are 3000 ddr4 corsair vengenance (xmp profile).

In demanding titles like cyberpunk,Helldivers 2, RDR2, etc etc. this system can push absolutely decent FPS at 5120x1440 !! (that is LESS than 4k btw before anyone rustles their jimmies) maybe i reduce render res to 75% via driver in some cases. And the individual quality settings are usually between medium to ultra.

In cyberpunk i can enable Raytracing and have buttery smooth gameplay at my native resolution.

It seems this engine has massive fundamental flaws (multithreading crash since 2016, unfixed because they seemingly CANT fix it) Horrible Cpu ressource management on certain cpu/chipset configurations, and maybe especially with Samsung m2 pciex SSDs.

I cant upgrade my system ever again due to financial constraints as a older person on disablity pension. So switching to an entirely new platform and swapping my gpu and drives over to that is out of the question.

Lack of individual settings to tone down the spam other players produce on screen with the ridiculous builds that cover the entire screen with ligtning or fire or both..How do you come out with a game that is known for its insane screen cancer and NOT have a setting like this from the start.... It boggles my mind.

People who dont seem to have problems are throwing RAW CPU compute power at the problem to compensate it without even being aware that if this was adressed properly by Dev this game easily could perform excellent on older systems.

If your calculations are running all the time evne if they ARENT NEEDED, then you are doing it wrong.
bump
I took a break for a few weeks waiting on a new GPU. Game ran flawless on my 3060ti; now I can barely get past 25fps on my 7800xt. Tried some other games and it's not the GPU. Set all of my settings to lowest and still can't get my FPS any higher. Guess I'm taking another break lol.
the game started to have low FPS out of nowhere.
When I first started playing the game, I had 120, 140 FPS, but from one day to the next, the game stuck at 40 FPS, using 100% of the GPU. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and the same thing continued. It only happened once where I was playing with the game at 40FPS and out of nowhere it decided to stay at 120 FPS.
I changed DX12 to Vulkan and it apparently improved a little, the graphics are no longer glitching

I thought my GPU was getting bad, but I opened PO1 and it was at 240FPS without a problem.

I also updated the GPU drivers and the problems continued

Same for me. Haven't found a solution yet. Did you found something @XxViniBr#1859?
POE2 is unplayable in many cases for now. It's time to take a break until the game is much better optimized :(
For real like what is this :( Sometimes i have feeling that my Steamdeck runs better than my RTX 3070 Ti :( those 50-60fps stuck on all settings is really frustrating.
Honestly this is a joke at this point, and I'm ready to give up on the game...

I am running a 4070ti with an i7 12700F and during battle and fighting a bunch of mobs in maps, my fps drops to 30-40 fps and my GPU and CPU usage actually go DOWN.

I am at a steady 110-120 fps when nothing is happening and in hideout, but during maps and battle the game craps out

When nothing is happening in the map, my usage is at 78-80% but when I get in a big fight with a lot of mobs my usage actually goes DOWN to around 20-30% GPU and CPU usage.. it's absolutely ridiculous... and I have tried everything as well, and let it be known that this is the first game I've EVER had an issue on since buying my PC.

Also, for a card that can run at 285 watts, it literally only peaks at like 60-70 watts during game play, what an absolute joke of optimization

Everything else runs at great fps on native, with ultra settings at 120fps capped which is what I prefer to keep it at.

PoE2 on the other hand?? Runs like total crap.

Wtf????

Note: Yes my card is in pcie x16 4.0 @ x16 4.0

9800x3d / 4070 super.

My frames drop to like 30-40ish frames in extremely high density juiced maps scenarios.

It is exhausting on my eyes and makes me feel slightly dizzy when frames drop because everything has a blurred smeared appearance. It's gotten to the point I don't really want to play the game.

As you progress in power and wealth and want to super juice maps with delirium etc. the game becomes a visual nightmare. Given the visual clusterfuk this game already is, adding delirium fog has to be one of the worst ideas ever...

How can a ARPG perform so poorly when I have a CPU/GPU like this?
I have same problem

7600X AMD
4070 Super.

I have two identical setups. One runs smoothly all time 140FPS, second 40FPS. Solution is to delete Shader Cache folder and reboot PC.

I've played POE1 on setup that has problems with FPS, Second never seen POE1, only POE2
