PROBLEM WITH PERFORMANCE ON POE 2
Hey, I happen to have the same/similar kind of problem too. Id say I have a beefy computer and it runs normally at 144fps.
But it felt like, that if I start the game while watching something on my second monitor or have the pc running for a while that it locks the framerate somehow to something different? So my solution is just to restart the PC and instantly hop into the game and then start other stuff. It stays that way at 144fps the whole day. Maybe there will be a fix for this sooner or later? |

I had the same problem. I have been playing with Radeon Chill. Seting it OFF helped. From 40-60 fps to 120 fps :) |

Just in case this helps anyone else:
If you have the issue of DX12 stuck around 40-50fps no matter your settings i recommend using gpuz or nvidia control panel > system info to make sure your card is running at its correct speed under load (x8/x16 4.0 or 3.0 on older mobos). If not it may need reseating, putting in the top most socket of your motherboard or as a last resort updating bios. Obviously make sure your chipset and graphics drivers are also uptodate. I had this issue and had to update my bios to get my 4060 card running properly. I had no issue with the lower bandwidth in other DX11 games so had never noticed. Fps drops when using skills for me was caused by nvidia reflex which was on by default. No idea why but as soon as i turned this off it didn't reoccur. Have not re-enabled to test yet since sorting dx12 issue. The only issues i have experienced since are hard pc crashes during load screens which many have accounted to Win 24H2 and Ryzen CPUs but there is no definitive answer yet. I have the exakt same problem, have not yet tried flashing new bios settings. If you say it worked for you, I must try!
I have an MSI Z790 gaming, msi 4070 ti, 32 gb ram. I7. Capped at 90 FPS. Even if I chose 800*600… |

Just yesterday it was running stable 120 and 90 town, and today was just unplayable, staying at a stable 35 fps, don't know why my 3070 at 99% is only getting 35 fps (in the graph the gpu was constantly at 20+ms).
I reistalled the driver and the game but nothing changed Pc: Amd 5800x nvidia 3070 16 Gb ram |

Same issue as pretty much everyone here, hopefully the devs will address it.

I’m running PoE 2 on a Lenovo ThinkPad E14 gen2 and have serious issues with fps. They stay planted at 7 fps. I’ve tried everything listed above - changing settings; updating BIOS + drivers; setting the .exe to use the high performance option; etc. So far there has been 0 improvement. It doesn’t matter what I do 7 fps is all I get.
Any ideas on how to fix this issue? |

RTX3060ti Ryzen 5 3600 32 RAM Direct 12 maybe i still want update my CPU? in poe 1 have 60 always, struggle only in strong moments 5 orb + legion + ritual or smth else, but only in 1 breach i never got 5-10 fps, hope will be fixed... Last edited by Wister9878#0776 on Dec 11, 2024, 5:56:54 AM
