Boss drops permanently gone - poe2

So if you die to a boss (or mini boss), you have to redo them again.
However if you kill the boss, see all the loot and then have the misfortune to die instantly because of some debuff/envvironment (happened several times for me because i dont often see the debuff until it's too late), you lose ALL the dropped loot.
And you can't redo the boss.

This should fixed. The drops should still be available if you respawn at the checkpoint in the same session and the boss is dead and doesn't respawn. It's very frustrating to keep kill bosses but never get to loot them.

This happened to me yesterday. I killed one of the bosses and the minions killed me. There was an exalted orb on the ground and I lost it.

Just happened to me as well, I hope it is not by design and they will change it.

I got my first Alchemy Orb wiped by the adds that drop down from a cliff after the first Act 2 boss. Definitely a feel bad moment to see that boss loot and then lose it. Agreed that it should be relootable if you respawn at checkpoint.

I just came here from a search result. I died to a mini boss, but it's gone. I reset the instance/map and it's not there. My map marker says it's "The Gallows"
And it's not greyed out, indicating that I still need to defeat him.

But he's not there when I go to the gallows. I'll try searching the whole map.

Nm. On the gallows there's a guy hanging, you cut the rope and you get an uncut support gem. As soon as you do that, the map marker for the gallows blinks and goes grey indicating it's been cleared.

This happened to me in Act1 with my very first exalted drop. Damn, that was frustrating and there were many other frustrating things like this to come.
Haven't had many since then btw. Frustrating as well, as Jonathan raised the bar high with announcing we would be able to craft during the acts. Guess he ment one item per Act. 2 nails in the coffin. But damn, such a coffin is big, eh?

Same for me, i dropped some unique after killed wolf act1, came back to arena poof nothing :D

yep first act 2 boss where the enemies drop down after you kill the boss they just bombard you in a corner and you cant move and die. loot gone.

Ditto. Act 2 boss adds swarmed me after he went down. Loot gone. :(

Same thing happened to me Act 1 boss with an exalted wand that dropped too.
