POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

My machine completely freezes as well:

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080
Operating System: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 26100) (26100.ge_release.240331-1435)
Memory: 32768MB RAM

I too have had this since day one, cant remember a game hard locking my pc :)

The game on release hard locked/froze my PC for a while and I was able to get around this issue by disabling two of my physical CPU cores via Process Lasso. However, I am no longer able to even load into the game today.

Yeah on my end, disabling 2 cores helped to no be full stuck into hard reset all the time, but it still happened. I had to limit the cpu usage to 95%, with both it's now stable, but it did cost a bit in performance. Hopefully a fix will come before the holidays.

Can confirm this has been happening a lot since the start of Necropolis Settlers League, Also happening with PoE 2, when trying to load into an area, cogwheels moves on loading screen then stops, sound freezes/repeats, mouse pointer can still be moved around the screen but whole PC is unresponsive, even restart button on PC doesn't work, have to hold power button in for 3- seconds.
After a clean reformat no other programs, still happening, other games work no issues.

This really needs looked at as this is not normal behaviour for a game to be causing a full system lockup.

r7800x3d 4080s 32gb playing on full Setting in 4k...but its probably windows isiues if so many ppl on diffrent setups have that same like me

Setting to 95% or 90% in BES helped reduce the occurrence rate for me but it still happens 3-5/day

Some crashes are harder than others. If I wait 5ish minutes, the PC BSoDs.

dude u do realize ur dmging ur hardware
just wait for fix or playa with disabled multithreading
