POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

"
At this point I'm afraid to even load up the game. The last hot fix or 2 I haven't even been able to load a single zone. It might be on their known list but they're not really communicating either if they're making progress or if it's something that's not even their fault but if it's a Windows fault why is it happening on Windows 10 and windows 23h2 it's not just 24h2. Between This Thread and mine that's over 120 Pages 1,200 total comments about people crashing not just the client but the whole computer so yeah some people are taking this little seriously and I don't see the humor in mocking them for being frustrated

for those on win10 and other updates its coincidence. Majority is win11u24. The thing is this freeze happens only on some of the games which microsoft already acknowledged and advises NOT TO UPDATE windows:

!!!
Important: We recommend that you do not attempt to manually update to version 24H2 using the Windows 11 Installation Assistant or the media creation tool until this issue has been resolved.

I'm going to say b******* on it can't damage your computer because after crashing three times my audio driver was corrupted and I could hear static through my headset at all times until I factory reset my audio device and reinstall the driver this was directly related to the system lockups.

Early access does not mean you get a free pass on not addressing critical issues that could potentially damage users systems. Especially when its happening on a mass scale like this.

The alleged problem has only been known for 2 days is simply a lie. PoE1 has had exactly the same problem for months. And it simply won't be fixed... So don't get your hopes up too high...

Edit: I'm talking about MS here, not GGG. The problem is Windows 11

I feel you bro. I had this and it started to happen to me on a brand new pc. Imagine, I was thinking I bought faulty PC. Long story short - win10, works like a charm from then. Waiting until MS will fix this s***.
There seems to be a high chance of corrupting data if you hard lock, I've had the settings corrupted on at least one app that runs in the background. To answer some of the people here, my PC is new and I don't have any easy way to revert back to 23H2, nor do I think that's reasonable to ask given CP2077 is over here running ultra with full raytracing. Besides, more than a few people have noted the problem still exists when they roll back.

Is it too much to ask for GGG to acknowledge this outside of a "investigating claims" which almost seems to imply people are lying about the problem? The game is literally unplayable here, it would be nice to know they're doing something beyond maybe-kind of acknowledging there COULD be an issue. There is.
My browser got corrupted, and did a factory reset, posting an Old Firefox Data folder into desctop and I had to fuck with it recovering... :< Kinda afraid of launching a game again.

just install win10 and wait until ms fixes win11. Look at how many issues this 24 update has. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/release-health/status-windows-11-24h2

i know its a pain, but the problem will be gone for now.

Tbh, GGG's feedback very poor for this massive problem.

TBH they have it in known issues with highest priority since day two lol

Ah yes, so that is acceptable? Not asking your customers, who you took money off of, what the specific issue is or asking for information/data. Not warning players that damage to hardware may occur with these crashes. Mate, this is a JOKE. Stop defending them, this is very poor.

Don't hate on GGG as this is a Microsoft Windows issue.
I have a 7800x3d on Linux and I have never experienced a single crash in PoE 2...

Try to downgrade to previous Windows version as mentioned in this thread

Also having the issue:

2070 Super
Ryzen 5700x3D

It seems that most of people reporting the issue here are using AMD CPUs, so it might be related.

Tried few things and nothing is really working 100 % unfortunately.

I have an intel i7- 11700 with the same problem. It's about optimization, not someone's hardware. My friend plays the setup 2 times weaker than mine, and he has no problems.

These issues are frustrating and I feel for you, however, they won't damage any hardware. Modern computers do not work like that.
At worst and only with some serious "luck" your drivers or OS might get shot.

That's not true and lot of professionnals don't agree with you. Just an exemple of many people saying it:
