POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen
I find it shameful that a company that has sold the number of copies that POE2 has sold has not resolved this issue or at least communicated with users to explain the situation.
I understand that this is an EA, but I truly believed that GGG would be more transparent. Instead, I see that it's just another company that, once they have your money, you are no longer important. |

The best solution is not to play until fixed, as the game hangs constantly and it is annoying, the game is very raw, the problem here in 24H2 or X3D I do not know, but the developers could at least do testing and posted ways to solve, but after almost 2 months, no answers.

I was able to find this article this morning i will give it a shot.
https://www.techradar.com/computing/windows/gamers-beware-windows-11-24h2-update-could-wreck-your-colors-and-crash-your-games basically disable every windows graphics HDR or optimization setting. i will still be using POE uncrasher (unless it fails again) then i will go back to process lasso EDIT: since following the tech radar page and disabling ALL windows graphics settings with 24h2 i have had zero crashes, and much faster loading times. I stopped using poe 2 uncrasher. i still use proccess lasso as a safe guard note this program cost money after 7 days. i will update this post if i have any other crashes so far everything looks good Last edited by Tempest#0526 on Jan 21, 2025, 12:16:53 PM

Likely situation they're facing: (i'm a software dev) -- not making excuses for their team, as this bug has plagued me as much as anyone, but figured I'd try to provide some insight for those of you who can't comprehend why this hasn't been fixed yet.
1: This is an incredibly difficult bug to track down. It's slow and tedious. You try something new to narrow it down/fix it, you compile the code (takes time) and then you run it again. But it doesn't crash every single time right? So it's not perfectly reproducible. This all just means it's difficult and more importantly, SLOW work. And while they likely have dozens of software devs, it's likely only a handful of them work on engine internals -- possibly just 2-3. 2: If the bug is inherently linked to Windows code or Nvidia drivers, etc, they likely can't come out and say it outright due to legal liability and even if not legal, they still don't want to harm their relationship with these key partners. 3: I guarantee you one or more of their developers has been working on this non-stop. When a software dev faces this type of bugs, it stays in your head 24/7 until you fix the thing. Especially when your app/game is used by so many. It burrows into your brain and will not go away until it's fixed. 4: Then why isn't it fixed already? See #1 and #2. It's very likely a combination of the work being incredibly slow + not 100% their code's fault, which just makes it even more complex and slower to solve. |

It's so ridiculous that we havent heard anythig about this issue from GGG it makes me so mad. I bought a game I cannot play because of a bug that go patched out by other games within days!!!!!
If the developer are not capable to fix this issue just let us know, the silence makes us so mad. At least D4 has a new season today, I guess I play Diablo... Hi guys,
Im happy to report that at least on my end this bug is 100% resolved now by rolling back the most recent windows update. I used to crash ever 2-3 maps, now I've been mapping all morning and no problems. Type in Recovery in your search, and select the January update. Remove it. It takes about 15 mins. Enjoy. |
