POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

my hopes weren't high, but deleting and fully reinstaling the game on steam actually fixed freezes and crashes for me. So this is that

after patch 0.1.1 game still hard crashing during zone changes.


running 24h2 windows build using amd 7800x3d cpu.



ggg pls fix this.



i know this could partly be a windows feature issue but my

other games are fine with the 24h2 build

Microsoft will start pushing the 24H2 update to more people

Crashes are not so called "hard crashes" because OS protects itself, other programs and hardware against badly coded software. You just see fancy window initiated by exception handler (by the runtime or OS) and / or new event entry about the crash. Sure, GGG can change the code to workaround the issue, but it's bad approach in terms if industry. It means a lot of systems still affected by the hard lock waiting to meet specific condition(s). We have very good example with the latest CrowdStrike incident (hundreds of millions of machines over the world were affected by the kms design flaw and got BSOD'ed) and recently revelead Linux kernel vulnerability existed for ten years.

I hadn't had any issues in several weeks. Then after the most recent patches I am back to crashing every 10 minutes or so.
